Hi, Concerning attack aircrafts and helicopters,, would you be interrested to add a loadout selection system, where each hardpoint can be individually equipped according to the player choice.

something similar to the system used in the AH64 Mod made by Franze & NoDUnit.

yes this is the plan.

the EB_Air mod used my original cockpit selection script system on stock aircraft, but the range of munitions was very low due to fuel pods, rocketpods, racks etc being permanently fixed onto the stock aircraft.

FRL_Air is the next generation, where we are rebuilding the aircraft with empty pylons, to directly facilitate the use of a cockpit rearming system.

The original idea came from using wld's PRACS aircraft, fitted with different roles, my Evo missions where we dynamically added weapons in a base trigger script, Mykes proxy tutorials and weapons, and Rock's amazing innovation on the Typhoon proxies.

John Spartan has provided us with his GUI from the FA18, and I am writing the scripts for it on all of the aircraft we have included here.

so the next stage after completion of the mi24, mi8 and a few modded aircraft, is to rewrite the basic loadout selection script, which we made into a module in unsung mod, which is just an action menu selection system, and then release that as part of this mod. then the final stage is to rework johns GUI for all the aircraft.

it's a staged approach. meanwhile we have released all of the aircraft in every format, but in future missions you would have just a Multi-Role aircraft for your team, and it would be rearmable in the cockpit script for 8 different loadouts. the wide range of pre-set loadouts is then mainly for use by AI and enemy AI.

I noticed a bug concerning the AH1 Wildcat. When AI is piloting, it makes the chopper start to turn on itself. making impossible to shot as a gunner.

this happens if you leave the heli slightly turning when you right click -

put it in auto hover and let it go completely still.

you need to practise right clicking when the chopper is completely stable in rotational terms

the wildcat rearm function is using some older trial weapons, it will be refitted in due course - including with a penguin...

Variations:

Anti-Ship - Tu-95-K22: Externally mounted Kh-22 (AS4) launcher. Uses FRL_AS4 missiles. Represents real-world "-G" model.

Anti-Ship - Tu-95-3M80: Externally mounted 3M80 (aka SS-N-22 Sunburn) ASM/ARM missiles. Some sources indicate the Bear can carry these missiles. Uses new EB_3M80 missiles. Variation of -H model.

Anti-Sub - Tu-142M: Internal sonobuoy bay with 48 sonobuoys. Representative of real-world "-F" model.

Bomber - Tu-95-MS: Standard bomber with 24-rack internal rotary launcher. Uses FRL_FAB500 as default loadout. Representative of the Real "pre-D" model.

Strike - Tu-95-MS6: Internal Kh-555 (AS15) rotary launcher and 2 external pylons. Uses new EB_Kh555 ALCM. Representative of real-world "-H" model.

yikes so i've added the Bear bomber and strike variants to the enemy arsenal on our server. the bomber has 24x 1000lb bombs and a ripple of 36 (meaning it drops all 24 in one go) plus one hell of a mean tail gunner with 2x dual barrel 23mm (like a shilka)

still was laughing my ass off last night attacking Cainna Wind with the GAU19 equipped MELB, popping flares to light up the area, whizzing between buildings, dropping nades on guys hiding behind walls, spraying the groups in the open... hydras as backup if there was anyone brave enough to shoot back - felt like the wicked witch of the east on the rag.:y: the MELB is like PRACS' angry birds swift little sister...
