We should start Boycott ArmA 3

Over a year ago, ArmA 3 alpha came out. Many things has been announced, many things has been implented into the game and many updates came out since the release of ArmA 3 alpha.

PROBLEM ONE:

YET, almost every aspect of arma 3 is half baked - shadows , lighting , clouds , rain , physx , body armour etc and after one year of release, it is still the same.

PROBLEM TWO:

another thing is: some updates makes some aspects in arma 3 worse instead of better, for example the lighting.

PROBLEM THREE:

Performance, FPS problems in MP aswell as in SP are still present after over one year of release.

PROBLEM FOUR:

AI has still its problem since OFP (!) which breaks many missions and is bad for the gameplay.

yeah yeah i know there exist theard of this and that blablabla, yet it is times to make an announcement and to be clear.

it seems like BI is ignoring more or less those problems and dont not talk about those problems clearly.

AND: it seems like BI is seeing other things which are at the moment less important to high priority and those important things less priority.

we should stop playing the game, buy any game/DLC from them and say to BI: NOT WITH ME!

so long, until they start working on important things which has high priority.

BI, please finish the half-baked things you add!

please start working on performance, FPS problems!

please start working on the AI!

please, talk open to the community about those problems.

AND: please, stop making things worse (for example lighting, see theard) from patch to patch and call it "improvement"

from now, i won´t touch anything from BI.

About the AI and FPS problems they are working on them, personally I have really no problems with either.

And truth be told, Arma 3 got many problems but it is still my favourite game, just think how good it would be if everything worked. 0.o

First off, you can boycott anything you want, and so can anyone else who feels Arma3 isn't what they want, but coming to these forums wielding pitchforks is useless, stupid and arrogant.

There's countless threads about the things you mentioned, and the devs are hard at work, there's daily updates on Dev.branch and the progress is rather nice all along the line.

Also, there's no 'we', i want nothing to do with people with attitude like that.

First off, you are not really boycotting anything by doing this.

And second, people do whatever the f*ck they want. If they want to play their damn game, they play it. You don't want to, you don't play it. Simple as that.

I'll personally do the opposite, to me it's one of the best games that I played in this last years, and I have more than 975 hours played in Steam.

I don't like the new futuristic setting nor the inclusion of experimental weapons. Obviously has bugs, but plays way better than most of the PC games in the market. With WAY better support and with even a WAY WAY better community that makes awesome addons.

And I bought it for 24€ which was practically a gift. While I payed more than 70€ for games like Battlefield 4 and others that I haven't even played 50 hours.

Even paying for all the DLC and expansions it's way worth.

One thing all users should consider. BI is a business and it has its own internal goals, which are influenced by different factors such as time, manpower, monetary funds, as well as other unforeseeable or foreseeable factors that we, as customers might imagine. It's also important to remember that even though we would like more info and faster progress on different issues to which we attribute different levels of importance based on our own personal standards, BI and similar businesses have to carefully weight the pros and cons of any major change, be it product/service or customer communications related and so, the sensation of stagnation on their behalf creeps up in our minds.

No business wants bad publicity or a dissatisfied customer, but then again, no business wants to take risks that may either impede or prohibit them from dealing with bad publicity or dissatisfied customers :)
