Hi, firstly i think this is by far the best mission in arma 3.

 

Most missions even dynamic ones, do not give you the feeling of actually soldiering anywhere as near as this, civ interaction ( loving the ace integration ) side missions, and assigning squads to protect towns that have been taken over and cleared, and the medic system, is brilliant. Well done on this!!!

 

my clan would love to edit this and change the base for more space, but are having issues where rebels are spawning near and constantly shooting into the base, is there any way to disable spawning in a certain town? Also, using ace module, we changed ace_explosives to not explode on disarming of IED, but the mission seems to ignore it, all ied's explode even if option set to no, is that module meant to be synced? and if so to what? explosive specialist or engineer?

 

Keep up the fantastic work, i would like to offer my server if you need any testing, we run Hearts and Minds 24/7 anyway!

IEDS are self scripted, they're not connected with ace_explosives. You can disarm them with the ace interaction, but you need tools. It's required to be an engineer (set-able via param).

 

I do not know if you're playing on the dev version or the last release. It should have an option to disable some cities.

 

Open the define_mod.sqf:

add:

 

btc_city_blacklist pushBack "name of the city from config";

 

It should work.

Quick question regarding the mission..If I want to put a script in to lock vehicles and it usually goes in the "init.sqf" do I use the init inside the "core" folder or the init inside the main folder..having issues getting it to work...works great on other missions but wondered where it gets read for the server. Love the mission by the way it reminds me of MSO in Arma 2.

init.sqf it's fine, add if (isServer) then {}; maybe.

 

Using the init.sqf is easier to update the mission to a new version.

Thanks for the reply..much appreciated! Absolutely having a blast on this mission..so random and you never know whats around the corner!

Is the Logistics box and pad something you designed or is that a script someplace..that is great for setting up a FOB or even adding fortifications to base.

 

Any chance of this going to Stratis or any other Island?

I am having a very hard time getting this to load after the Eden update, the screen just seems to freeze after selecting the person you want to play as. Sometimes you screen is frozen but you can hear your person moving in the background and if you fire the gun you can here the shots.Anyone else having this issue and have a solution for it?

This might be a stupid question but is this file for single player or multi player? When I load it into the Eden editor i place it into the mpmissions folder and it show up as single player even though I put it in the multi player folder.

Pretty sure anything in the editor shows up as SP until you re-pack it and export it to MP. This is a MP COOP Mission.

Thanks for the Updated version Giallustio currently editing the base location to the salt lake..this is one of my favorite missions not all run and gun but more like MSO used to be in A2..great work!
