Iron Front as mod in Arma 3

Hey great mod loved iron front when it was released but lacked a multiplayer community , well at least when i was playing anyway. I have one question in regards to the mod would it be in any shape or form possible to make this compatible with Zeus mode me and a few friends we're wanting to play this but with a Zeus to create missions. Thanks & great work.

From the DLC the terrain and infantry weapons should already work.

To be done are the US infantry models and the vehicles.

Unless more people join the team, these will take time.

The faces are probably linked to identity definitions.

Unfortunately there is hardly any docu on this available.

The bugged effects are known but haven't been able to locate the source yet.

Probably will disable all custom IF effects for now and make them use A3 ones.

The IF patch to support AiA SA is basically ready.

We were hoping to get it out with other updates. Might release just a hotfix

later this weekend. We will see.

The AWAR team has done an excellent job with their models and textures indeed. :)

For a paid A3 DLC version all involved parties had to agree ... very unlikely to happen sadly.

@ Skullnookum

Only very few mods get popular enough to be playable in public play.

You are better trying to organize events or join a group that focuses on it.

For Iron Front (the game) there are still a few of these. Best to look into them.

Later on when IFA3 has matured enough, they are likely to move over.

In regards to ZEUS - what is not working/needs to be done?

Hey guys, anyone know the codes for uniforms (soviets and germans) ? If i want to gear some A3 units by IF uniforms, what are these codes.

Since today's dev patch, I've been experiencing error messages like:

Cannot load texture ca\weapons\data\ico\i_regular_ca.paa

No entry 'config.bin/CfgVehicles/M1030.canFloat'

No entry 'config.bin/CfgMovesMaleSdr/States/stryker_Dead.connectFrom'

Cannot load texture ca\ui\data\icon_wf_barriers_ca.paa

Etc.

The mod seems to be working anyway. But the whole bunch of messages make it a bit uncomfortable to play.

Update: I unsinstalled the dev branch, and it's still giving me errors. For example "Addon AiA_BaseConfig_F" requires add-on 'CA_Anims'.

These messages mean you are not loading the A2 addons for some reason.

I must confess I've no idea of what rpt is.

But I have found that the problem seems to be in the Play withSix loader, because I have been able to start the game perfectly, without any errors, with the .bat executable from the setup website.

Hi,

In the beginning of the for the Motherland Campaign (Eng) theres seem to be no "completed" trigger after shooting down all the carbon targets with the first weapon you get in the firing drill exercise.

So the campaign cant go on and I get stuck there and i cant bypass the mission either. Something you can look in to or is it me that missed something obvious?:confused:

Unfortunately BI did not consider (much) backwards compatibility and therefore broke various aspects of the game with A3.

Sadly we don't have the manpower to convert the campaigns to A3. So unless someone wants to help to convert them,

you have two options:

1) Play them in A2: CO or Iron Front standalone.

2) Use the endmission cheat to skip buggy missions.

This log seems to be from a session not using PWS and also shows no issues.

Remove all rpt files, launch with PWS, get the errors to show, exit and then upload the created rpt please.

Yup there is progress - we have a few/at least one each working cars and tanks.

The plan was to release an update tomorrow with those, yet it might get delayed another week.

So, this is why no one plays the standard game anymore. I lead a division called the 16. Infanterie-Division of the Wehrmacht, you can join by friending the Colonel, Meyer. It doesnt matter if you are inexperienced too, we host regular trainings, and we are extremely active. 12 hours in one day once.

Hi, nice work here. I really enjoy iron front in arma 3. But there is a bug that make me crazy( Selected hand grenade type is not correctly shown in the interface). Anyone knows how to resolve it or if devs are working on it?
