nuddicrous 0 Posted August 24, 2002 Although I care about as much for the notion of this mod as I would for a kleenex-wars mod for flashpoint, I am fairly certain that they dont need to ask permission when they dont make profit. Basically anything that makes it 'Halo'. Some companies are more protective of copyright than others and while its true that many will 'let it slide' if there is no money involved this doesn't simply mean that the mod maker makes no profit. There are issues like impact on future explotation of the license. In this case the PC version of 'Halo' is in the works. Somehow I'd imagine that profit or not, Bungie and MS would be most unhappy about an unofficial version showing on the PC first ( or indeed ever ).
