yasotay 198 Posted March 27, 2014 Are the pilots sitting in tandem or next to each other (guessing there are two)?Id take a closer look at the "blackfoot"(pilot in front) or the apache or ghosthawk. "Glascockpit" is the way to go I guess. Btw. please think about a FLIR or targeting pod (blackfoot/apache) or take a look at the osprey. The pilots of these planes seem very dependent on that equipment when it comes to landings (brownout) Have to agree that your AHV-284 is going to need a bit more snout like its CSAT counterpart for sensors. A recommendation only as I don't see any room for sensors. It looks like the pilots feet are right next to the nose.

A recommendation only as I don't see any room for sensors. It looks like the pilots feet are right next to the nose. You're right about that, actually I was thinking on doing something like that already, making the cockpit more similar to the AH-66 Comanche, then V-280 Valor, and a similar stealth design like UH-80 Ghosthawk for the doors and other parts. I fixed the room for sensors too. Here the ''small'' change I made to it, such as resizing some parts of the chassis and changing the cockpit to allow room for sensors: Edited March 27, 2014 by nightovizard
BlackViperGaming 3 Posted March 28, 2014 Nice work, I'm interested to see where this ends up. Never thought of any tilt rotors outside the V-22(my personal favorite aircraft of all time). Maybe you could try to do an amphibious version as well. Just a thought. :D
bravom5 2 Posted March 28, 2014 This project idea sounds interesting, I love aerial vehicles especially vtols, if I can get the motivation and time to teach myself how to make addons, I will be willing to help some.

CyclonicTuna 87 Posted March 28, 2014 That's a lotta aircraft. Maybe you should start a kickstarter page or something, or put up a little webpage up to reach out. Start spreading the word :)
nightovizard 20 Posted March 28, 2014 That's a lotta aircraft. Maybe you should start a kickstarter page or something, or put up a little webpage up to reach out. Start spreading the word :) Yeah I know, and still they need lots of work... Kickstarter page is for funding projects, I don't use money for this, I use something more valuable: Time. Making this takes a lot of time, and I don't have enough skills to finish them just by myself, that's why I'm searching for people that has Modelling/Texturing/Scripting/Animating skills, but still no luck everyone is busy with is own project already. J0nes is interested on this addons, but he is busy atm with his Ac-130. Yoshi is interested too, but he is busy with his challenger 2 MBT and learning how to port models to Arma 3. Jinzor is interested in them too because of a new faction idea he had. alexboy would love to animate them and port them to Arma, but he is already busy with other projects too (Although he told me he had successfully imported the tiltrotor drone to Arma 3, but I don't have more news). Bracer is busy with his New York city map. mp5gosu and saul are busy with other addons too, and TxT is already doing an amazing destroyer ship addon... So basically as you can see, everyone already is working in something else.

I'm gonna start studying Game Art coming September. I know its a while away. But if I can, I'll try to force some of my homework on addon projects for Arma 3 ok? Right now I'm still occupied with some out-of-school projects but those won't take up the majority of my time anymore soon.
yasotay 198 Posted March 29, 2014 I agree with CT, that patience is usually well rewarded. Just keep improving them and you might find that someone will find the time in the future to provide some assistance.
SxepTicon 10 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) Aye, totally agree. This project really has a huge potential. I'm sure you'll find some help. Found some inspiration for an airframe or cockpit. Think it's from a RU movie? http://www.shrani.si/f/j/iG/NcsQlYf/temnyjmir11058983.jpg http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=178279&d=1335636159 http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=178277&d=1335636133 http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=178278&d=1335636149 I must add tho, allways loved the "ugly" Hind. http://cdn1.eveonline.com/www/newssystem/media/63527/1/Super_hind.jpg Maybe a cockpit for the QTR? CyclonicTuna 87 Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) Hey nightovizard! Hows it going? I came across this on youtube and immediatly your mod came to mind, perhaps a cool source of insipiration? Or have you already decided on your designs? Regardless, keep up the good work :D! Edited April 1, 2014 by CyclonicTuna
DusktilDawn 18 Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) This looks amazing. I like the touch of having aircraft that can hover in this game, it's like my passion and if you have released these vehicles could you gimme a link? If not ill try get in contact with Olli (Creator of the FC-37 Thunder) to maybe texture these out and maybe have something like the A-164 Wipeout camo on them. Picturing in my mind on how it would look right now looks awesome. I would texture these If I knew how because these vehicles would make a great edition to arma 3. Also maybe get rid of the coaxial rotors on them. It would be cool but maybe if you could make a non coaxial rotored version Edited December 20, 2014 by PlasmaWerewolf

As i have said before, there is currently no other persons working on this than myself, i still Hope someone with modelling skills will help with the interiors, because, i cant manage to make realistic cockpits and vehicle insides. So far there is some people willing to help me by texturing, scripting and animating. But without being able to finish the models First, nothing else can be done. About the rotors, the models could suffer more changes, but i'm stuck at the moment. If only someone experienced could make a realistic cockpit... DusktilDawn 18 Posted December 28, 2014 Maybe use the original MV-22 Cockpit but just maybe give it more detail and changes. If I had experience with texturing and stuff like that I would totally help you because I think the game could use more planes and perhaps some civilian airplanes like a 747 777 stuff like that would be good. I was also thinking if u were planning to do something like the VTOL warship in Black Ops 2. Other than that I can try making some by looking up tutorials or so, probably for the exterior of the vehicles maybe like the wipeout camo because it would look really good on it if you think str8. I don't know any other publishers and I tried contacting olli by posting on his FC-37 Thunder page on steam but no reply yet. :T
jprice94 16 Posted July 19, 2015 Are you still working on this? I'm pretty good at textures on photoshop. If you finalize the models and send me an unwrapped uv map (with edges visable) I can texture it. I'm not entirely sure on the implementation process in arma 3 though. I really want to see this implemented into arma 3, with animations and fine details. It would fit right in.
icmspectre 32 Posted July 19, 2015 These look amazing please make sure you finish these
ivan keska 45 Posted July 20, 2015 Would be neat to see one that would function like the C-130 thus be able to slowly orbit and fire onto ground targets. Kinda of like a modernized OV-10 which would be neat. Unless I missed something and one of those gunships can function like that.
