Paratrooper 0 Posted August 16, 2002 What do Sewdes and Finns have to fight about? Just being too close? Like a local football derby over here, the next town is always most hated.
Guest Posted August 16, 2002 No, Sweden and Finland have always been best friends. Perhaps due to the fact that Finland has been historically a part of Sweden. They even have Swedish as an official language. Sweden is like Finland's big brother. No, Denmark is our historical enemy. We have always faught. Right now Sweden is in lead since we nabbed a good piece of their territory in the last wars we had (Most of today's southern Sweden used to be Danish). LauryThorn 0 Posted August 16, 2002 We have this brother-like competition, in almost everything. At least in sports. Sweden may be better in making pop music, but we are better in drinking beer! And the finnish movie, "The Return Of The Mumin", is much better than any Swedish movie!
LauryThorn 0 Posted August 16, 2002 I give up! You Swedes created a robot that learned to fly in less than three hours! Reuters article
KingBeast 0 Posted August 16, 2002 Ive been reading the Sharpe Books, and they are quite historically accurate therefore I would like to apologise to the Danes for that one time where we kind of bombarded Copenhagen a lot. Sorry Rather offtopic? Oh well

nuddicrous 0 Posted August 22, 2002 I'm a canuck, and I will defend our beer until the end, which is by the way, next tuesday afternoon at 6 pm. However, beer is piss, vodka is king, so hail the motherland comrades and such. Yada yada yada. I was in the reserves, and am now in the supplementary reserve hoping that a real war will break out. However, I'm in school to be a programmer, and the reg force has a 10,000 dollar signing bonus, so I may sign up for that. I wouldn't mind dodging the whole 'private' rank this time, and be able to yell at people while being a computer geek at the same time. I love it when people in service positions of higher rank yell at infantry soldiers... I got chewed out by a cook once. Oh my that was fun.
