themessenjah 10 Posted July 31, 2013 Hi I work at a company and think your sand box application is awesome. I even see it being used for team building situations, will you guys be adding women in the final game or will modders be tasked with that? I ask because when a woman looked at application one of her questions was "are there women in the game" A possible team building exercise: 2 guys start with 1 zodiac boat (They have to carry it to the water as a team, 1 can not move it by himself)... two girls start with 1 paddle each (the zodiac cannot move correctly in a forward direction efficiently without coordinated effort so they have to work together as a group). (The number in group could be as many as are needed for the exercise, it could be two, three, or more zodiacs) Their goal is to get down a river as fast as possible but there are 3 routes and clues on which route is best. The team of 4 will have to come to a conclusion and take the best route either voted on or suggested by the group leader. With the added "Von" com system you guys have within the game there's great value here. Let me know:j: T
dale0404 5 Posted July 31, 2013 Not got a clue why you are mentioning team building exercises... Regarding females in the game, a quick search and this popped up: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?119587-They-better-have-female-soldiers Thread is locked but please read through the whole thread. krycek 349 Posted July 31, 2013 Couldn't care less about female soldiers, looking at that thread and the one on A3 feedback it looked like it was the most important problem in this game(hell maybe the entire world). Regarding civies I hope they'll be in when A3 full arrives.Would be pretty crappy not having civilian side(men&women) like in A2 together with their civ cars and so on. I had plenty of fun creating missions with them.

Agbah 10 Posted August 1, 2013 About Woman/Female Soldiers , i absolutly agree. In the past Years i was playing different MP Games and a lot Games i played with Gurls. If i asked them why they dont play GameX and GameXY they just replied "Cool Game but No Female Characters included, so i dont play it". It would be the same if Male´s needs to play a Female Character in a Game because theres no Men-Char available . May some like it but the most Guys, i doubt. I think today, Both Genders should have a available Character in each Game. No matter if Shooter, RPG or Simulation. Games who including only Male Characters have maybe success , but dont underestimate this "may tiny Fact with Female Characters/Soldiers". Male & Female Characters is a must have for a Game - and it will increase the Sales, the Community & Content of ARMA Modding - no doubt.

metalcraze 290 Posted August 1, 2013 If someone refuses to play the game for a ridiculous reason of there not being a character of this someone's gender - then it's only for the best that that someone stays away from the game.
Azzur33 1 Posted August 1, 2013 Random female soldiers when you add groups in editor, no thanks. Female soldiers adding as units in editor, why not. Female civilians, definitely Yes. Female civilians able to grab uniforms and other gear and weapons, able to drive and everything else just like a male citizen, definitely Yes. In Armed Assault there was only one useless female character. In Arma 2 there were many mostly useless female characters, missing hitboxes, lacking animations, unable carry a weapon. I never quite understood that decision. They were well modelled and textured, but useless. I know they were just for the ambience, and not for fighting. But still, if you have two working hands, you should be able to pick a weapon and shoot. Now with the gear customization thing, fully functional female characters would make even more sense. And a lot of new possibilities in creating missions.
