Bosun 0 Posted August 5, 2002 Hi. Â Not sure where l'm going wrong here; Â I can give a civ most any weapon, however can't give them a LAWLauncher; unitname addMagazine "LAWLauncher"; unitname addWeapon "LAWLauncher" Also with ammo crates; Â l clear the crate and then add; cratename addMagazineCargo ["LAWLauncher", 5]; cratename addWeaponCargo ["LAWLauncher", 1] this doesn't seem to work. Thanks for you help. Â Â
edc 0 Posted August 5, 2002 I could be wrong but I don't think that Civilians can carry rocket launchers. Â
Harnu 0 Posted August 6, 2002 Weapon/ammo slots can be added. I'm not sure how. But a civi can have a LAW. For instance, mission "Fight" in OFP:R. Victor can carry an RPG Launcher.
bn880 5 Posted August 6, 2002 Viktor: side="GUER"; vehicle="OfficerG"; He's a resistance officer, that's why.

Harnu 0 Posted August 6, 2002 He was in civi clothes. And had 2 less mag spaces I belive. Also, FIGHT is one of them missions you can only get by taking the AK or Kolzice in mission 2, then kill the 3 russians. Jack their truck and then go to res. base. InqWiper 0 Posted August 6, 2002 You kill the ruskies with you kozlice, make youre way to the resistance camp, change clothes, get attacked, take up RPG, blast some tanks away... You are reistance officer if I nemember right (wich Im pretty sure I do) so bn880 was right.(Im just 95% sure so dont take my word for it )
Major Fubar 0 Posted August 6, 2002 AFAIK civvies can't carry or use launchers (LAW or RPG) or machine guns (M60 or PK). I'm sure an addon could be created that uses a civ model but has the ammo slots of a regular soldier...might be out there (pre Resistance) already...
edc 0 Posted August 9, 2002 Can I put SIDE="Guer" in the init field to change the side of a unit? If so are West and east the other options?
Harnu 0 Posted August 9, 2002 ING, ammo low is not the mission im talking about. TumZ 0 Posted August 10, 2002 You know Harnu I have the exact same problem with my webspace at tampabay.rr.com and it is annoying. The only dix i know is to copy and paste the location directly into the address/location field of the browser :/ Copy and paste harnus image to see the civ w/ rpg www.geocities.com/harnu14/Lawlauncherciv1.jpg
Blake 0 Posted August 10, 2002 You can have Civilians carrying LAW/RPG - easily! There's 'hidden' unit class called 'Civilian Soldier' in OFP - they are the one's your fighting against in the first mission of Red Hammer campaing. Create few civilians, save, alt-tab and edit mission.sqm. Find the civilians and in the vehicle="civilianxx"; replace it with vehicle="SoldierGFakeC"; or vehicle="SoldierGFakeC2"; By default this unit will carry AK74. They can carry LAWs and RPGs but only one shot per each (if they have normal AK74+3-4 clips). Just add them with 'this addmagazine and this addweapon' commands in the init field. bn880 5 Posted August 10, 2002 Thanks, that's another thing that's not documented by BIS. Any idea on how to create street lamps without an addon Blake? (different topic but you know some hidden things obviously)
Major Fubar 0 Posted August 12, 2002 Do you know what this unit is called...if I want to use it in an addon? You know, like Civilan 7 or SoldierWB...?
