marshmanguy 0 Posted August 2, 2002 Could someone make silened pistols. It makes sense to have silened pistols because with the black Op with the UZI, you are silent and dangerous until u use the pistol. And don't say don't use the pistol because at close range what's the point of waisting good Hk or Uzi ammo when you could just pop him in the head with a well placed pistol shot. peeps 0 Posted August 2, 2002 i was just thinking that! hows about a Tactical USP or a SOCOM i think there the most common pistols that are used with silencers, but im just guessing from counterstrike and metal gear solid
STS_SolidSnake 0 Posted August 2, 2002 a Beretta 92F Silenced would be cool for a black op unit
jawk2 1 Posted August 2, 2002 throwing knive??? *since the knive were forget in OPF*
billytran 0 Posted August 2, 2002 Pilots should have silenced Berettas, just my opinion.
Maraudeur 0 Posted August 2, 2002 I follow you on that, silenced pistols are a must have, they'd give sharpness submachine guns do not have.

Choppers are incredibly noisy and pilots aren't trained, equipped, or needed for Blaco Operations so why would they need to have a silenced pistol, but a regular one would make sense. drewb99 0 Posted August 2, 2002 Something to make those Ruskies happy (Image is oversized) I'm still working on it, but it should be done relatively soon.
Stag 0 Posted August 2, 2002 Is that a Stechkin? Were they ever fitted with silencers? A bit long in the tooth, too. Not a bad option for the Resistance though.
marshmanguy 0 Posted August 2, 2002 Why is it held like a rifle, and why is there a but. With the resistance engine you can make it so they actually hold them like pistols can't you?
drewb99 0 Posted August 2, 2002 the Stechkin was fitted with a wooden stock on occasion, and he holds it like a rifle so he can use the stock correctly. I'll probably make a version held like a pistol later.

With the resistance engine you can make it so they actually hold them like pistols can't you?<span id='postcolor'> The Stechkin was a true Machine-pistol, with a VERY high rate of fire. Without a stock, it was all but uncontrollable. With a stock it just nearly bloody impossible. But it could fire single shot too.
marshmanguy 0 Posted August 2, 2002 Im talking Pistol Pistols not slightly this side of machine gun insane uncontrollable machine pistols but that is cool.

Granted it used a short 9mm round (Not as powerful as 9mm Parabellum), but it had a 20 round clip. Violent little sod, and if body armour cant be modelled in the game, deadly. Stag 0 Posted August 2, 2002 should be ok on semi, but if fully modelled for OFP, in full auto it should be one round at the target and nineteen vapourising the seagulls
The Jub-Jub Bird 1 Posted August 2, 2002 Just a reply to what few people have said. Ran...the Stechkin is not a SMG, it is a pistol. But I can understand where you are coming from. It was originally used as such in Soviet forces, but it was replaced by the more reliable AKSU versions of the AK47 in the early 1970s. The fully automatic feature could achieve 850 rds/min. Marshmanguy...sure in fully automatic, held as a pistol the gun is uncontrollable. But it is very practical at a rate of about 80 rds/min fired in short bursts with a butt-stock attached. Commonly (and with this models case) the butt-stock aslo acts as the pistol's holster. Wardog...yes the Stechkin was very often fitted with a silencer and why as an option for the resistance? The Stechkin was issued to officers and NCOs of verious Soviet units. Anyway...that's enough of me... Jubs
The Jub-Jub Bird 1 Posted August 2, 2002 I forgot to put my point of view across...I think silenced pistols a top idea...I particularly want them for snipers...they could really use them to defend themselves when enemy units get alittle too close for comfort when enguaging them with the rifle would be too dangerous if there were more than one. Jubs<span id='postcolor'> Wasnt disagreeing at all. just pointing out that for Soviet forces, it would be a bit early, therefore, better for the Resistance. For the Commies, how about one of the "Hush Puppies" that they loved so much? Mind you, the AI may not be able to use it properly.
JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted August 4, 2002 I would like Machine Pistols: Silenced Micro Uzi or Mac 10 for West For East  silenced skorpion All held like pistols, not rifles Pistols: Mk23 with LAM unit and sound supressor, the laser designator has a laser dot although its square so it is possible, but make it so you can switch it on or off and make one with a flashlight, is it a UTL? M9 with supressor Rifles: Delisle Carbine (Very Quiet, bolt action rifle accurate to 400m fires th .45 acp round) BTW has anyone tried KEGs revolver pack?, if not DL them because they are V. good! Ok...whilst not modern, it makes the Tokarev seem positively ancient (it entered service in 1930...and is in the game). It did cease manufacture in 1975, however, when the AKSU-47 was developed, but a few still remain in use. I would love to see it in game...but for the Russians... Stag 0 Posted August 5, 2002 Fair enough. But I think a better choice for a silenced pistol for Commies (at least Spetznaz) would be the P6. I'd be tempted to have a crack at it myself, but my info is sketchy, to say the least.
