mestido 1 Posted March 25, 2013 Is that possible? I do not see any in game options for that... kinda strange for a true PC fps game. Am I Missing Something?
PuFu 4600 Posted March 25, 2013 in C:\Users\winUSER\Documents\Arma 3 Alpha\ or in C:\Users\winUSER\Documents\Arma 3 Alpha - Other Profiles\~PROFILE~ (if you have created a a custom profile) open your ~ProfileName~.Arma3AlphaProfile file, and back down the list, there should be: fovTop= (default for 1080p is 0.75);fovLeft=(default for 1080p is 1.3333334); Notes: ~WinUser~ is your windows user account ~ProfileName~ is your ingame profile name. mestido 1 Posted March 25, 2013 Thanks for the info. Hope in the future FOV slider will be added to the game menu. :)
dnk 13 Posted March 26, 2013 Also, toggle zoom in and zoom out effectively change the FOV in-game.
bravo 6 0 Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) I for one think this option should be open and directly available for people as strange FOV will not positivelly influence people and distorce the image. Anyone know what are the best FOVs we can use so what we see gets more natural and human instead alien view? EDIT 1: We should be able to change the initFov, minFov and maxFov to have a personalized player view as we have for the headbob. initFov = 0.464; minFov = 0.25; maxFov = 0.65 Edited May 22, 2013 by bravo 6 Adding more optioms to FOV topic

bravo 6 0 Posted May 23, 2013 Question: by changing the fovTop and the fovLeft values will this also change somehow the zoom in capability or the zoom in zoom out still remains the same? thx

ast65 10 Posted May 24, 2013 Question: by changing the fovTop and the fovLeft values will this also change somehow the zoom in capability or the zoom in zoom out still remains the same?thx I´m always using fovTop 0.9 and fovLeft 1.6 (16:9), if you go above 1.0 for fovTop you get fish eye effect :p yes, zoom capability remains the same
zimms 22 Posted May 24, 2013 Well, since higher FoV means the whole scene is kind of 'zoomed out', you won't be able to zoom in as much as you would with standard FoV.
bravo 6 0 Posted May 25, 2013 The FOV available option only streches the screen and not really adjust the ZOOM In and ZOOM Out option. Would be also interresting to personalize the ZOOM In / ZOOM out latency time. fovTop=0.75; (default) fovLeft=1.25; (default) To better adjust these options would be nice to also be able to easily access and change the initFov, minFov and maxFov on the fovTop / fovLeft list. Example for initFov, minFov, maxFov: initFov = 0.464; minFov = 0.25; maxFov = 0.65;
