msd 1 Posted March 16, 2013 Hello everyone how possible to make a mod like this? a mod like a real life guerrilla warfare here are some short Details us army (attackers) Insurgents (defenders) the mission for us army is to take the city from the Insurgents without getting heavy losses the mission for insurgences is to not to hold the city but to make as much losses as possible to us army Insurgents Advantages -can build tunnels (Big Advantage!) -can burn tires to block the sky with smokes -they have higher buildings and better places to hide us army Advantages -all vehicles and planes (jets , helicopters, tanks, uavs etc etc) Is it Possible? stupidwhitekid75 11 Posted March 16, 2013 Tunneling wouldn't necessarily have to be actual tunneling. A tunnel could be an object, like an exit or entrance point for example, and would simple act as a portal that would spawn the player at a location after 'going inside'. Bút, with the arma 3 editor & some scripting knowledge this definitely is possible. almost every scenario is possible. It just requires the knowledge to build it. I found this scripting command... http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/buldozer_LoadNewRoads and scripting commands can only be used in game even if this is used with Bulldozer afaik. Im only guessing here, but it could be possible to a certain extent? Would be nice to have tunnels and underground structures. They would have to fix the AI first. Troubadour 1 Posted March 16, 2013 The easiest way to do Insurgency is to have a 60 player server and do it Project Reality style. Where you have actual people playing as the insurgents, give them very limited supplies ala PR and give the BluFor a vast amount of supplies. You can throw in the regular Co-Op Insurgency mission from Arma 2 to make it even more interesting. Limit the insurgency side to about 20 and the BluFor to 40. msd 1 Posted March 16, 2013 how about pre existing destructible tunnels ? so the insurgents can close any pathway from captured tunnel gate? more ideas -ability to capture wounded solider/insurgence -ability to capture dead solider/insurgence -limited ammunition which can be stored / moved / distributed -wounded solider/insurgence should be carried out to medical room -dead solider/insurgence should be carried out of the battlefield area -collaborate civilians on some of the buildings automatically detect coming soldiers/vehicles Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
johncage 30 Posted March 16, 2013 that goes beyond guerilla warfare. they had surrendering in oa, i hope they allow detaining mechanic this time around. so you cna zip cuff them and make them lie facedown on the ground. maybe apply a hood over their heads and load them for transportation. also, why could they capture a dead body?
