Warin 0 Posted July 15, 2002 As much as I enjoy Warcraft III, it's not a REAL strategy game. But it is a load of fun. The strategy games I enjoy the most owuld have to be play by email. Avalon Hill.... Anyone else know what that means?
Blaegis 0 Posted July 16, 2002 I'm a big fan of the Steel Panthers series.
R. Gerschwarzenge 0 Posted July 16, 2002 Civilization series rock.
Oligo 1 Posted July 16, 2002 Combat Mission is THE best strategy game around. It manages to take all the good things from turn-based and real-time games, leaving out the bad things. Together this makes the closest approximation of battallion-size engagements I have seen.

Ruud van Nistelrooy 0 Posted July 16, 2002 I play shogun, civilisation and championship manager (i've been addicted to cm for the past few years it is kind of a strategy game)
Antichrist 0 Posted July 16, 2002 Tetris is not strategy! It's a quest!!!
WKK Gimbal 0 Posted July 16, 2002 I'm a sucker for Shogun. It's not just about producing tons of units and throw them at the enemy. You have to think carefully and outwit the enemy on the field. It's also very realistic. I'm dying to get my hands on Medieval: Total War. I heard some insider stories about the game's features and it blew my mind. The campaign side of the game will be far more detailed, where you need to maintain a sophisticated net of diplomacy and traderoutes to keep the florins coming in and sustain forces in critical areas. It's not about blitzkrieg'ing across europe - it's rather about surviving and interact with other nations in a world where the balance of power can swift overnight. WKK Gimbal 0 Posted July 16, 2002 Oh yes, and Denmark is a playable faction - naturally, as we had such a great impact on shaping the world
