Will Arma 3 Have Better Medical Equipment Like ACE2?

Recommended Posts

I don't see how ACE's 2 medical feature is too hard to make,i know they have other priorities, but, post release maybe?

And for the people saying that they don't want a game with hard, challenging and fun mechanics: maybe ArmA isn't for you,if you are looking for a casual game, there's plenty out there to suit your needs.

:

Agreed I would love to see the ACE medical system and don't think it would be too hard to make. And TBH the ACE system isn't all that challenging or hard, and if people didn't like it it could always be a difficulty setting between "basic" and "advanced" medical system.

Modules would have been the optimal solution. This way, the mission maker (who usually knows best what works for his mission) can determine the system.

That sounds like 99% of all the things that those realism groups want; Either they don't know it or are too cheap to buy it, So instead they come here and complain that Arma isn't real enough.

Woah that's a great thing to say by a guy who never heard about ArmA less than a year ago. "Go buy VBS2 for $500 if you want ArmA". Great attitude there man.

Or "Revive" and "Basic". :)

"And for those who don't have an internet connection... we still sell the Xbox360!"

Yes, it's a ridiculous point, shame on us for wanting a military simulator from our (famously the only publicly available) military simulator. If Arma attempts to go arcade it will be a terrible version of Battlefield, nobody would buy it. The purchases Arma gets are due to a) Modability and b) The fact that it is the only game that fills the infantry/combined arms simulator niche.

BI should be playing those two points as their main thing, integrate mods into the real product to strengthen the simulator side of the game and make sure that the wider community is aware "If you want a solid sim, where anything you want can be modded in and possibly become official, look no further".

The challenge is what makes a game fun, after all, the learning experience.

Even a similar med menu to how americas army does it, w simple diagnostics and tx. It tells ya what to do but properly simulates aspects of care under fire. Make it an option in the mission editor or in the difficulty settings for singleplayer.

That way the hardcore mods such as ace could build off the framework and make it as complex as they wanted to. Running normal saline wide open through an iv while pushing meds AND not trying to get shot would be cool. Look at how ace 2 does medic but expand it so that if the mission maker enabled the option the module would be scalable. Drugs could be one size fits all like ace or a specific dose that you give depending on how the mission maker set up the module. Screwing up could kill your patient and the tolerance for error would be adjustable.

Whether you just have to put a bandage on to heal anything or yoh want to go to the epic level of managing a critical patient on the battlefield with vital signs meds iv/blood infusions and trauma care would only be restricted by how in depth YOU want to go instead of an engine limitation.

There is no engine limitation, isn't ACE's medical system proof enough?

ACE does not have vital signs, IV infusions, etc. CMS does.
