CoolSpy 9 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) Is this the early 3D model of the GPNVG battery pack ? :) Anyway, hi everyone!!! I am glad I just stumbled upon this thread cause your amazing work is what my buddies and I have been waiting for years now!! We are DEVGRU reenactors and have a real passion about these units! Maybe the names of C4., Steyrman, Gaylord Furniquet and Baleek ring a bell to someone here if you have some interest for Devgru Reenactment! Well, anyway if we can help in any way (I see that Jefferspang seems to have some serious knowledge too), we would be glad to !! If you need some gear pictures of real pouches, plate carriers, helmets, material for textures etc... we can provide you many from our collection of gear. If you want to have some hints about realistic loadouts too and advices about the little details that make the difference between "good" and "awesome". :) Anyway, the Maritime Cut Ops-Core is a must have these days, we see them more and more even in other units too (SF, MARSOC etc...). For the second line, we see Devgru operators with Navy CPCs but some (very few) have classic CPCs. The difference as said before is that the cummerbund in the navy version is the same as the JPC one (Airlite version) and the two single molle loops on the upper chest made for the PTTs are not oriented with the same angle (vertical on the civil version and horizontal on the navy one). Other than that, they look the same. Most CPCs seen are in Multicam pattern. If you need some material (tons of photos from any angle useful for 3D modelling) about the classic CPC here it is: http://multicam-inside.fr/forum/topic/3093-crye-precision-cage-plate-carrier/ For some missions, they use Navy JPCs (to our knowledge some use the standard JPC but very few) in Multicam and AOR1. A triple M4 pouch made by Crye is sewn directly on the lower part of the plate carrier to receive M4 mags in the kangoo pouch and secure them. A molle line under the pouches is replaced with a large velcro area. http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/8918/navyjpcweb.jpg (165 kB) A video showing some closeups of a Navy JPC. This kid certainly knows someone in Virginia Beach as he is one of the only happy owners of such a rare JPC. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riW5JiEapyo&list=UUCrTIltsPOGJRXDq5jv4J2w&index=9 We still see some LBT 6094-A with or without the 6094-K panel (M4 pouches sewn directly on the panel) and even some mix of LBT-6094 slick with a LBT-1961 chest but IMHO I think it is better to focus on the CRYE plate carriers. Of course, the loadouts are different depending on the role of the operator. The movie Zero Dark Thirty is a good source about the gear used but it is too "standard". (everyone looks the same) Some pictures: Navy CPC to the left, Classic CPC in the middle, LBT6094 in AOR1 to the right: http://imageshack.us/a/img46/2087/persecdg02.jpg (109 kB) Navy CPC to the left, Navy JPC to the right: http://imageshack.us/a/img823/6480/persecdg04.jpg (151 kB) Classic CPC: http://imageshack.us/a/img402/6461/persecgoldteam532718302.jpg (116 kB) Well anyway let me thank you for the awesome job you are doing, we will be following your work verrrrrrry closely :) Believe me when we say we are really looking forward to provide all the help we can on your project!! ^^ Edited February 7, 2013 by CoolSpy
jefferspang 2 Posted February 7, 2013 I really can't get my head around what those vertices are meant to be.. to be honest they look like the scattering of logged data after my laboratory sessions, only thing missing is a hastily drawn crappy line of best fit through the middle. Furthermore does this remind anyone of the psychology test where the doctor hands you some shapes and you have to tell him what you see? Hmmm the names rings a bell.. are you guys on Gearsoc? Well this one isn't supposed to be easy lol it's very WIP but it is something that will be usefull to some here. Or atleast for fun :D @CoolSpy no it isn't :D But thanks for joining :) I could use a lot of help with the gear since i'm "new" to seals and never had time to study them or their gear. I don't know much except what i can see from pictures and stuff like that, so if there is something i should know about DEVGRU that has to be know to work in depth with them i would appreciate a PM from you, also i might have another job for you guys if you would be up to that ofcourse :) On another note since i'm a one man team on modeling and texturing and don't have much time to finnish this, i will focous on making only the most common gear used by DEVGRU Regards Edited February 7, 2013 by astast

Regrads DevilDog EDIT: Dont get me wrong for using the same picture :D Actually, i think it would be more like either a single wide view or 3 views, think about how when you use Binoculars it appears at a single large view. here's how the manufactures portray them: http://i3.minus.com/ibvCWwkRBMtF2y.jpg But i think a wide view, like how was done with Warfighter would probably be the easiest: http://www.mobygames.com/images/shots/l/590635-medal-of-honor-warfighter-windows-screenshot-night-vision.png

scarecrow398 43 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) Seeing all the CAGE photos on here are already covered in Gear, here's 360 shots of the CAGE Plate carrier without gear, both worn and off to show you how it sits and the Crye Cumberbund (used mostly for extra pouches and 40mm rounds), i stumbled upon it while looking for examples of the undershirt :P http://scarecrow398.minus.com/mbzcqwhkdbdlVA Edited February 9, 2013 by Scarecrow398
