cunningStunts 1 Posted January 12, 2013 So my end goal is to play Day-Z, but Arma2 looks just as fun. I see I need the combined ops package, but what would be the best route to get it? roguetrooper 2 Posted January 12, 2013 Go into a shop and look for a black box labelled "Arma X". This includes everything (official) of the Armaverse plus two large double sided paper maps. (Personally I never understood what people find about that Steam stuff, I want the DVDs in my hands). ArmaIInoobATM 1 Posted January 19, 2013 Buy ArmA II X (Anniversary Edition) I got it in the Steam Winter sale when it was only about 20 pounds but even at the standard price it's worth it, you'll get Combined Operations as well as the Private Military Contractor and British Armed Forces DLCs; only thing that isn't included is the Army of the Czech Republic expansion. If you could buy the physical/boxed version then as aforementioned I believe it includes Chernarus/Day-Z maps too which show where you can find loot and other POI. Preferably you should buy directly from the developers Bohemia Interactive like Gunter said but I'm not sure how much it is on there, if it's about the same, I'd go for it because BIS gets moar money. spanishsurfer 58 Posted January 26, 2013 If you want to see Arma2: CO in all of its battle glory check out our server, it's usually full of players and the battles are intense. The game style is basically 2 teams fighting to capture a certain # of towns, first to that # wins. We always have admins on or watching the server so hacking/TKng noobs are usually kicked/squashed quickly. It is PVP mixed with AI.
