ramirez 10 Posted January 10, 2013 Hey Everyone, Well as you could imagine like everyone else in this section of the forums, I am having a problem. The problem is this: A buddy of mine recently purchased a 3D Model off of Turbosquid for $300...(Link). As you can see, it is quite the "beaut". Textures and Normal maps flowing from one end of the truck, all the way to the other. A sign of true craftsmanship.... Anywho, I am getting off topic here. As I was saying, a friend of mine purchased this model from turbosquid. However, after loaded it into Oxygen and renamed all the texture paths I went to load it into buldozer to view the shear beauty, and this happened (don't mind my face order on the windows)....... http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd494/RamirezLPD/Ladder%20Problems/buldozer2013-01-0923-11-22-75.jpg http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd494/RamirezLPD/Ladder%20Problems/buldozer2013-01-0923-11-28-03.jpg http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd494/RamirezLPD/Ladder%20Problems/buldozer2013-01-0923-11-32-91.jpg http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd494/RamirezLPD/Ladder%20Problems/buldozer2013-01-0923-11-43-01.jpg http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd494/RamirezLPD/Ladder%20Problems/buldozer2013-01-0923-11-49-93.jpg http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd494/RamirezLPD/Ladder%20Problems/buldozer2013-01-0923-12-04-88.jpg http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd494/RamirezLPD/Ladder%20Problems/buldozer2013-01-0923-11-55-62.jpg The model is fine in Max, or any other 3d program I load it into.... besides oxygen. In the UVEditor the maps look normal, but in buldozer, that is clearly not the case. I have tried .3ds's .obj's from numerous different 3d applications with no luck on the oxygen side. Can anyone shed some light on this situation? I really want my buddy to get the best out of his money that he paid for this. If anyone has suggestions or anything I will be more than happy to give the ideas a shot and let you know if it worked out. If you need more info just ask me. Hopefully someone out there has had a similar problem with a model. Thanks Guys, -Ramirez

There was even one reported by someone other than Ramirez for a similar but different fire truck.
ramirez 10 Posted January 11, 2013 Hey guys, another modeller found a solution to the problem. There were some strange uv mappings that were causing the maps to deform. After remapping these parts the vehicle is fine. [aps]gnat 28 Posted January 12, 2013 If Drunken Officer's suggestion doesn't work, export the model as "Universal BISTUDIO TXT", close O2, reopen and import the UB.TXT file .........
fuzzysquirrel 10 Posted January 12, 2013 The problem was with the texture warping, the same one Deltahawk posted about. It's fixed now. It was fixed by selecting parts that were not mapped properly and re-mapping them.
