cjgsicknote 10 Posted September 13, 2012 Does anyone know of a way to string waypoints together for my ai squad in single player missions without high command function?. I'd very much like to set a patrol route for my ai squad to follow (with me bringing up the rear) in many of the single player missions but i cant seem to find a way to do it?? I apologise for perhaps appearing somewhat "noobish" but ive been playing this game religously for the last 2 years and still cant find a way(point) ha ha!. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is in wrong place, i have used the search function but cant find a request of a similar nature. Thanks.
tom3kb 15 Posted September 13, 2012 Check this for example http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=posts&p=29033#29033. Ps: You ask in wrong forum section.
kylania 568 Posted September 13, 2012 Tom's example is fine if you're creating a mission in the editor. If you mean on the fly waypoints while already in game without High Command, you can't. You can send your AI to a spot either by selecting them and then issuing a move command or shift left clicking on the map with them selected, but no "go here, then here, then here" options. It assumes you'd have set that up before hand. :)
domokun 515 Posted September 13, 2012 I totally agree that this should be an option. How many times have I wanted my team to skirt around a hill and not go over it? Ideally you could simply lay down these waypoints by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking the left mouse button. This has GOT to be in A3! Or else ;)
Gunter Severloh 4071 Posted September 15, 2012 Ctrl key? Just put it on waypoints and double click, then move your mouse, double click again, ect,. then at the end make last waypoint cycle, and overlap the move and cycle waypoint. i also agree that waypoints should be able to be set while ingame, I swear I have done that already with a mod :d:
