How dense are the towns?

I enjoy Fallujah & Bagdad terrains, also (VBS) AS Samawah which leads nicely into Jamil Afandi via a small suburb, which creates quite a large sprawling urban area. AR Rumaythan also a nice layout.

Any larger cities/towns would be a treat in Arma 3 especially coastal towns/cities.

The funny thing is that a lot of the towns in ArmA II were already bigger and denser as in real life ;) have a look at Lipova and Slavosov in Porvly area on Google maps. the Devs already turned half ruined tiny village into smalls towns in ArmA II while stripping larger towns of 50% their build up area...I exspect somethingn similar in ArmA III

LOD issues is the main problem, followed by FPS. If my eyes aren't deceiving me, last year's E3 demo with F-35 fly-by shows several coastline Lemnos towns almost too cramped. I can't see how they would be able to balance performance and this structure count, unless using similar textures & BIS majick.

Further into the demo, at 7:28, the village overall looks superb - this is what Pustoshka should have been (going by terrain here, but can be said of any small-to-medium Cherno town). Refresh your memories, http://dayzmap.info/ - gotta admire zombie peoples' dedication, almost as good as Pliskin's. :D

Oooooooh, those look fun. I can see lots of nice quiet life in those towns, like you'll find in that small peaceful isolated town, where everyone knows each other.

Although, that gas station looks very rotted down and abandoned compared to the town, like it's been sitting there for 20 years unused. Which it probably had, after the invading Iranian military and went by, the Greeks may've used it as a hold out so...

I was on google maps looking for such info on the towns and other info last night, and it looks pretty good, there will be a lot of place to hide, fight from in the bigger villages and especially the main town. Obviously it isn't the exact replica on googe maps, but it gives you a good idea of what to expect. Just google 'Limnos' in google maps. Looks like a lovely island, especially for fishing :P
