It looks like everyone is making their freind one. I can't see the need for more than a couple, and I don't like to see people power tripping in a discussion forum. Thats not to say I don't want the forums moderating, I do, I hate unmoderated forums, but do we need so many, and such scrutiny of every comment, people constantly saying "no offence".<span id='postcolor'> There are 10 mods of which me, Gimbal, R.G, Placebo, KingBeast and Sith are more or less active. Usually one or two mods are in the forums at the same time. The forums have 17000 users. Between 50-100 users are active at the same time, all times. There are 20 posts/hour average. But now that you said that, and I downloaded a copy of the thread, putting a copy in a fireproof box, a copy in a safedeposit box, and sent one to the papers....if anything happens to me my cohorts will get ya! I think the general pubic are very friendly to the mods, and only once a month or so, a little nastiness comes a long. A bit of criticism should fly without it having to cause to much of a stir. This Forum is very quiet, no flame wars, very little spam, very good topics and discussions. So a natural part of our microverse is a) the occasional freakout thread due to exessive boredom  b) the occasional closing of freakout threads c) the occasional bitching about closing of freakout threads. Being a mod, you have to take a bit of teasing and provocation and just wipe-it-and-flush-it so to speak. We freak, you close, we bitch, next thread. No big deal.<span id='postcolor'> OK, I was gonna let it slide...but...there is no irony...because I didn't f**king do it! READ MY LIPS! Guest Posted June 18, 2002 Another forum bug. Check the number of replies listed in the forum for this thread. You'll se that they don't match. This is because Ikonboard doesn't count down number of replies when a post is deleted. I'll probably have to spam one more message and then delete them to come in sync again.
