Resistance, Never Winter Nughts and Warcraft III are all su out in that week. Die Alive 0 Posted June 13, 2002 Got you all beat, I'm getting laid off at the end of June and going on Unemployment Insurence for at least 6 months. I have to agree that living on the dole so you can game is a little sad... after all, its there for people who cant find work, not for those who want a paid vacation. In case of Canada, many immigrants from far east are Hong Kong ppl, and they spend quite an amount of money when they get their. i once heard some figure that they contribute to a community about 100K per family in terms of local economy. Most who can afford to come to Canada are richer than most white ppl. and if you feel like immigrants are taking your job away, quit whining. you are not going to work as janitor anyway. I am not pulling the "them foreigners is stealin our jobs!" card, I'm saying they do not pay the taxes citizens do. Of course they help the economy by working in all the "dirty" jobs. I live in the east and here, it's mostly boat people from Haiti, who, from 1998 to 2001, over 75% of those who came to my province went on welfare, most of them didn't get a job since coming here. And my brother who is a customs agent here at the airport, where the weekly flights from Haiti, almost on every flight, there's at least one Haitian who tries to bring in a live chicken to Canada hidden in their suitcase. Now you can't bring in livestock from some third world country just so you can sacrifice it and eat it because it's your religion. The more you earn the more they take. It's like punishing those who try to do something with their lives. If we atleast got something in return all would be fine, but our hospitals for instance, are among the poorest in europe.
