Scorpio 0 Posted June 11, 2002 RavenDK and me have finished the US Marines Pack. It includes a group of US Marines and an AAV7 amphibious assault vehicle. But most credit has to go to RavenDK, he made the main models and is the brains behind them. dkraver 1 Posted June 11, 2002 JUst got it and tried and those marines look great. But the aav7 still need some work. Here are somethings to look at: - When in the back you got a big round hole in the roof. Guess its because you have used the inside from the m113. - No commander or commander seat. - Turret is still very blocky. - The roof plate in turret is to low so you can see edges and inside of the side plate. - When inside turret you got a lot of holes when looking around. - Aiming point inside turret is a horizontal hole in the front plate. Would think there are some kind of aiming device behind a some armoured glass or something. - Both guns flash when firing the mg and none flash when firing grenade launcher. - weapons goes through top plate when aiming up. - Vehicle very front heavy when sailing. Well that just what i found from trying it. PS: Really love that you can get extra ammo for AT from the AT helper. PPS: Maybe give one of the others 1 or 2 MG mags which would be very normal. ravendk 25 Posted June 11, 2002 as much as you say yes the AAV7 IS buggy but reber its my first armour... In the group there only seems to be 8 on the map, but when you go into the game there is 10. Any chance you can make all of them with their goggles down like the drivers? But its GREAT work any way! NVA Killer 0 Posted June 12, 2002 you should redo the turret, make the machinegun an M2 and the 23mm an MK19 40mm. Also you should design the inside of the turret, make it sort of look like the inside of a commander's hatch, but with the weapon. Then add a commander's hatch right behind the driver. So that's where I left my glasses!!!! Nope...haven't had any problems with your Marine units although I haven't tried putting them into the Zodiac yet. So far they all have been working very well for me...well accept for the obvious stuff on the AAV but even that I liked quite a bit as long as I'm not driving or using it in the gunner position. It looks reasonably close and is much better then doing amphibious assaults with the regular M113. I love the rucksacks with the rolls on top also. Very realistic... I was also VERY surprised to see that the top of the radio actually had dials and buttons. That kicked ass! Excellent work there!
