What is the Civilian Immersion Script Suite?

The Civilian Immersion Script Suite is a mission-based script that requires CBA and enables players to interact quickly and effectively with AI civilians. Verbal commands are hot-keyed to make interacting with civilians on the go easy, without the need of tedious menus and dialogs.

Is the Civilian Immersion Script Suite compatible with multiplayer?

Yes! The Civilian Immersion Script Suite will be configured to detect single-player and multi-player, and adjust accordingly. All verbal commands and features will be available in both single-player and multi-player.

So what ARE all these features you're talking about?

Well here's a breakdown of the currently working features:

  • Yell at your target. Players have the ability to yell at their target, issuing verbal commands. These commands adapt based on your current target and reveal your position to nearby enemies, for example: Men will be told to get down (if they are not armed) or to drop their weapon (if they are armed) and cars will be told to stop their vehicles and disembark.
  • Reactions. Your target will react to you based off of a custom coded morale system, taking into account the nearby people and their conditions. Possible reactions are as follows: Unarmed men may comply, run, argue, not respond or attempt to engage in melee combat. Armed men may engage or drop their weapon. Wheeled vehicles may stop or run.
  • Not listening? A boot to the head. If your target chooses not to comply, shouting at him again may convince him, or you may need to approach him and hit him with your rifle.
  • Group Commands. Give commands using the CBA UI menu (ACE self-interaction menu) to disperse groups or take captives into your group.
  • Immersion. Overall, the suite is designed to add a layer of immersion to ArmA 2. Chasing after your target or yelling as you enter a building to clear it.



Do I need to enable this on units?



No. The script dynamically checks what you're yelling at and responds accordingly. You may disable the script on some units. Also, this script -for now- requires the player to be on Blufor.

Notes:

I plan on developing this around feedback from the community, along with larger player based testing. I am also developing an EOD script to compliment this, so ideas for features are welcome! Screenshots and videos to come soon.

I need voice actors doing a variety of different verbal commands like "Get on the ground!" and "Stop the car!"

Feel free to twist them to your personal liking :)

I need many versions of:

-Get Down

-Drop your weapon

-Stop the vehicle

-Telling nearby civilians to leave

-Telling a captive to get up

We already have a great-working Civillian Interaction Module from Nielsen!

Why don't you cooperate with him and combine your ideas?
