Who decides what people deserve? Getting what one "deserves" is a completely abstract concept that means little, if anything, in the real world.

... some plants required workers to sign contracts stating that they wouldn't kill themselves.

What exactly is the point of such a contract? "Man, I would totally kill myself right now, but I don't want to get prosecuted for breach of contract."

Yeah the Apple (iPhone I think) factory apparently gets employees to sign a contract promising not to commit suicide. I guess they somehow take measures against next of kin if you "break you contract"

Well fact is that lots of the employees over there earn enough money to survive. They asked for a raise wich the company didn´t want to pay. Instead of that the company said that everybody who is unhappy with his work may leave the factory and get a compensation. Many workers left, compensations weren´t paid. Those workers need that money, they can´t feed their families.

Threy could start with me...german salaries are getting close to chinese ones...the excuse is always that we need to become cheaper to compete. 0.8% decrase in the average year by year in the last decade. I was building military bridge layer systems for 8.50 € per hour just 2 years ago in my 12th year as technician.

Before the "crisis" I used to earn 50% more. This crisis is artificially held up as there is still demand for skilled workforce, but only on subcontract level.

Soon Apple will be next its crazy how it hasn't already occurred.

Uhm.... Well, you're completely ignorant for thinking it hasn't already occurred. Apple factory workers already have commited suicide and threatened to, multiple times. Just google it. Most of them work for the same electronics company (Foxconn).
