Vietnam 1969

Recommended Posts

I downloaded the 1969 Vietnam campaign but it said i need some units for it to work:

STTnamSoldierWMG

STTnamSoldierWGL

STTnamSoldierWLAW

STTnamSoldierWmedic

STTnamSoldierW

STTnamSoldierWO

FOLSVc

DWRgeneral

Does anyone know where I can find these? And is it worth the trouble getting these (is the campaign any good)? Thanks.

The addons you mentioned were very beta. Very very beta. The loadouts were wrong, the naming was wrong, the configs were not meant to be used as final addons. They were uploaded a loooong time ago for people to give comments on the textures. There was no readme included in the zip files either. The upgrade for them is at the OFPEC. Please if can, do not use the beta addons, use the new ones that those evolved into. I had hoped kyllikkis would have deleted them like I had asked and used the new final versions.

'WARNING! CONTAINS BETA MATERIAL If you have newer versions of these addons, DO NOT OVERWRITE them in your addons folder with these files!'

thats the warning we have on the files on our page. They are mostly for our internal use and not meant to be spread around the world, someone just hyped the information to ofp.cz.I would very much like to replace the old pack with the new one, but I dislike the Muzzle flash bug and wait for it to be fixed.

Isn't using the newer addons the lesser of two evils? confused.gif

Unfortunately there is not much we can do about the muzzle flash bug until BIS upgrade the code for OFP (apart from playing with T&L disabled)

You be assured that we will release a patch for the Nam Pack as soon as this happens. The classnames of the units and weapons will not be altered so any missions made with Nam Pack 1 will be compatiable with Nam Pack 2 and any patches.

What name are they under, I looked for the newer ones in OFPEC but did not see anything?

I found all the addons in about 5 min at the OFPEC, kyllikkis and at Operation FLashpoint CZ.

The upgraded Nam addons are at the editing center in the addon depot.

They DO NOT overwrite the older addons. Like I stated before the naming conventions needed to be changed from the beta versions since the configs for those units were just placeholder so I could make the skins.

I'm editing the 1969 campaign to incorporate the newest Nam addons, and will send it to the author in the hopes that he will re-release it using the latest versions of those addons, and the new Helicopters. If he doesn't, then hopefully you can find the addons mentioned above.
