That site is fucking disgusting. They a gallery of images called "headshot", with everything from headshots with gun, to headshots with high powered rifles. Also pics of guys eating shit and things like that.

But you see, that exactly is in our nature! Everyone of us knows rotten.xxx! It is not realy something that has to do with our interests, still we all dare to take a glimpse. I just imagine what I, as 13 year old, would have dreamed after seeing those images. But one thing is for sure, I would have been the first one to look at the Site! And of course in school everyone would show off and talk about it, somehow very sick!

I am also scared about all the personal information available about me on the net. I mean I posted my CV on several Jobsearch sites and of course Sites will also record my Surfing behaviour. Fucking scary, the way "profiling" could be done nowadays. The CIA would know realy everything about me!

(and the poor police is not even allowed to create a tiny tiyny file on me if I havent committed a big crime.

the only way to fight such sites is to not visit them. I never do. I believe there are things not healthy to know about and especially have visual memories of. My problem is that I never forget pictures and they will just keep popping up in my head. So I always try to avoid them.

No, I think those Sites cant be stopped, they actually will always have a high traffic rate. There was a research a few days ago about an article against soccer/worldcup and the other pro-soccer. Of course the one against soccer was much more often read and linked than the other.

LoL, one of the first sites I ever visited on the net, way back in 1995, was this place called Dan's Gallery of the Groetesque. For me at the time, it was the best site ever. I remember this one pic there, it was of an iraqi soldier that was run over by a tank, I mean, his body was just an outline of pinks, red, and yellow, with parts of his uniform mixed in. Or the pictures of a beached whale that was blown up with TNT, lol that was funny.

As for spam, go over to http://www.spamradio.com, it's got some ordinary spam being read by a computer program that reads texts with some background music. It's funny listening to these "ads" being read by a computer in a monotone voice.

I hope this is not just cases of classical denial.

Eveybody has a curiosity towards death, but of course there's a natural reaction when you see it.

In nature, if you see your own kind dead, it means there's a pretty good chance you could die as well, so your body

is telling you to get the hell out.

Modern man, on the other hand, is essentially reliant on it's ability to supress natural urges. That's what makes us different than animals.

My father's a doctor, and when I was a kid we'd look through his medical books to try and find the grossest diseases and pictures.

My friend found a dead cat in a local park, and he gathered every kid in the block and we all stood and watched it until somebody's parents came and removed it.

I once saw a car accident where a guy walked out in front of a Porsche, and he basically got his head smashed. The image though that stuck with me, was of another guy falling over on his bike because he wasn't watching where he was going, he was watching the dead guy's brains...

Rotten.com is excactly that. Morbid fascination. It's human, so please get off your high horses.

Anyway, FYI rotten.com is a lot more than death and mutilation.

The "daily rotten" is daily selections of newspaper clips and historical facts that all somehow bear evidence to the oddities of life.

I have actually never visited that site. I've heard about it in the forums for the first time, but never got around to see it. Now I have made a point of not visiting it.

Well, I saw that picture that Wreck-It posted and got banned for ("chopper head"). I was quite surprised that I was really disgusted by the image, since I am normally not at all sensitve to that sort of things.

The thing that works for you is that they havn't got the resources to track and profile all of us. But if they flag you as dangerous, watch out!

I've been to rotten.com, because its part of my nature I guess. I know I don't want to see shit like that, and would prefer to live in my blissful ignorance, but an over-riding part just had to see.

I couldn't really take that much, and now I have those twisted images stuck in my head. I've never been back since. I'm not exactly sure what "service" they are providing, if any, but I don't think we really need sites like that myself. Its not even a paysite which at the very LEAST it should be. Any kid can surf to it.

My curiosity got the best of me this week also. I found the link the the Daniel Pearl video and watched it. If anything it taught me the sick fucked up nasty shit people will do to each other.
