Ofp & audigy

Recommended Posts

To tell a long story short:

I got 2 computers

I got 1 soundcard (SB Live platinum (with Livedrive II ))

I need another soundcard for my #2 pc.

Does Audigy work better than SB Live plat. in OFP?

In "work better" I'm talking about the longdistance-sounds.

Would the old Livedrive II work on a Audigy card ?

I don't want to spend more money than I have to and I need a Livedrive only for my primary computer, and ofcourse I would also like to use the newest soundcard on that same computer smile.gif

from what I understand the long distance sound bug with EAX is gone from 1.6 (actually fixed by some work arounds according to BIS)...and its being fixed for resistance. Perhaps Im wrong??? Anyone know for sure???

In version 1.46 I still have sound-distance problems with my audigy.

Hey, the 1.60 is only for MP, right? But do I get improvements, if I install it too, even if I play only SP? Does that work? If yes, where do I get the 1.60 Update?  confused.gif

i cal follow you on that. especially since the playcenter that came with the European version of the card whould kill sound off a 2k machine totally. heck it was Beta software as far as i recall.

ive had nothing but issues with mine. missing effects... jitters.. EAX related crashes and the lis goes on and on sad.gif
