shadow 6 Posted June 6, 2002 To tell a long story short: I got 2 computers I got 1 soundcard (SB Live platinum (with Livedrive II )) I need another soundcard for my #2 pc. Does Audigy work better than SB Live plat. in OFP? In "work better" I'm talking about the longdistance-sounds. Would the old Livedrive II work on a Audigy card ? I don't want to spend more money than I have to and I need a Livedrive only for my primary computer, and ofcourse I would also like to use the newest soundcard on that same computer
suchey 0 Posted June 7, 2002 from what I understand the long distance sound bug with EAX is gone from 1.6 (actually fixed by some work arounds according to BIS)...and its being fixed for resistance. Perhaps Im wrong??? Anyone know for sure???
FallenPaladin 0 Posted June 7, 2002 In version 1.46 I still have sound-distance problems with my audigy. Hey, the 1.60 is only for MP, right? But do I get improvements, if I install it too, even if I play only SP? Does that work? If yes, where do I get the 1.60 Update? Â
R. Gerschwarzenge 0 Posted June 7, 2002 I'm not going to buy Creative soundcards anymore.
FallenPaladin 0 Posted June 7, 2002 I understand that. The support from Creative, especially in drivers and software is terrible
R. Gerschwarzenge 0 Posted June 7, 2002 And the Creative soundcards have been processor hungry since the beginning.
shadow 6 Posted June 7, 2002 Any recomendations on other brands that are of very good quality and work great or better than Soundblaster in OFP ?
