Tarentino is an amazing director... but his movies are, for the most part, flash without substance.  Sort of Violence, Incorporated.  Ritchie on the other hand has a more refined style.  His weaving of plot lines is a little more subtle and he doesnt beat you over the head with the violence like Tarentino does.  And I generally find that the less intelligent of my circle of friends find Tarentino more intelligable than Ritchie...whereas the smarter ones enjoy the subtlety and style of Ritchie.  Yes...in spite of a man getting beat to death with a dildo (in Snatch...pure genius! there is more subtlety to the violence.  I am not saying Ritchie is  BETTER than Tarentino, just that I find his style more appealing.  Plus...What has happened to Tarentino? Did he die?  Jackie Brown was his last new movie and that was 4 1/2 years ago. Bleah.
