jakerod 254 Posted November 12, 2011 If you like SP stuff I would recommend getting BAF. As others have said it has a really good (although short) campaign and also has some of the best missions in ArmA and some of those are also multiplayer.
mrcash2009 0 Posted November 13, 2011 (edited) 3. How is the learning curve? I played the SP for a bit, but I was getting killed so quick by the AI.Days/weeks/months :)4. Is it worth the purchase or should I just wait for ARMA3?Its worth purchase as you have multiple bundle options and patches are now really shaping it up esp the latest 1.60 patch (which is to come very soon), and get combined ops not just Arma2 on its own. Plus the fact that now there are so many superb mods / sound mods / missions & maps you wont be bored for a loooooooooong time.Arma3 will be one to get but I still feel unlike Arma moving to Arma2 it wont be as instant a swap than with OA to Arma3. IE I dumped Arma when A2 came out the day I had it, whereas what A2/OA has advanced with, plus the community mods & this time round I will have them running parallel with Arma3 for a while so no money wasting at all. One major factor is your rig, Arma2/OA will run well for time to come, whereas depending on what you have Arma3 may need tweaking or upgrading for at the time. I have combined Ops with BAF & PMC ... although as mentioned I only got PMC for the map really, BAF is great though. dmarkwick 261 Posted November 14, 2011 How is the learning curve? I always tell people that it takes about a week to "get" OFP/ArmA, but once you do, it's great.
