ffak 0 Posted May 30, 2002 Anybody tried OFP with that latest driver (15.084) from Hercules for kyroII chipset? It's not working for me (neither v15.20) "couldn't create 3Ddevice" Xp tell me what's the problem? only driver 14.28 (january 2002) works fine.... my stuff: celeron 633 384 SDRAM Kyro 2 driver 14.28 40GB IBM 7200 Sound Blaster Windows XP Pro thanks for help
Mister Frag 0 Posted May 30, 2002 After updating your video drivers, did you try using the "Autodetect" button in the OFP Preferences program? OFP might have been configured for a vertical refresh rate that isn't supported by the new driver. Also, try running the DirectX Diagnostics (DXDIAG.EXE), click on the Video tab, and execute all the tests in the dialog to see if the driver works correctly. Placebo 31 Posted May 30, 2002 Opf 1.46 and the MP betas up to 1.60 worked fine with the new xp drivers, 1.60 doesn't want to work though, says cannot create 3d device
Mister Frag 0 Posted May 30, 2002 Placebo, did you try the two suggestions above, and if so, what was the outcome?

As Direct3D reports out of memory, it seems like Kyro driver is trying to use some large ammount of virtual memory space. Removing some addons might help. I suppose this problem will not be present in Resistance, as we reverted our changes in virtuall address space management back to the 1.46.

redis 0 Posted June 28, 2002 Just to ad some confusion to this question... I use the 15.084 driver and it works just fine in 1.46, but I use Win Me. I had to use the "autodetect" after upgrading, but after that it works just fine. My specs. Placebo 31 Posted June 29, 2002 I'm happy to report Opf:R runs great with the latest XP drivers, although of course the Kyro2 is showing it's age and budget card quality, can't wait to get something like a GF4

Mister Frag 0 Posted July 9, 2002 Tip of the Day: If you press Alt-PrintScreen instead of PrintScreen, you get just the active window instead of the entire screen. That will keep you from having to crop the large bitmap down to just the part you need.
Placebo 31 Posted July 9, 2002 That's something I didn't know thanx On this occasion I wanted to show what I showed to show where I found the info of my current driver version
