BIS can you stop AI's looking around head when they're shooting etc.

Recommended Posts

It is a good feature that we can have our head look around in the game, but one not perfect aspect is that you can always find AI looking around irrationally when they are shooting or using binocular or even in death state. Especially in some video, you can see one AI sniper is shooting targets but his eyes not focusing on the optical sight.

Can you please fix this problem?

This is actually part of a bigger problem where the game in general allows freelook while aiming sights which makes absolutely no sense. The fact it's only possible for AI and trackIR users makes it that much more weird.

I'm pretty sure that I could look around me while I aimed my AG3-rifle.

TrackIR + a little aiming dead zone sets this sim very much apart from other FPS-games. (Think gun glued to camera)

I do agree with the OP, the AI looks really stupid when they do that.

It makes sense for CQB sights, but yeah, it is a little retarded when using an ACOG or higher magnification.

How about distant AI shooting in a way different direction than what their barrel is pointing? Only me getting this one?

I find it usefull. It allows you to aim to another target without moving your entire body.

I get this to they seem to fire a shot off when they are turning to and getting up or laying down.

Looks very silly.

Try hitting anything IRL while not actually looking directly through your sights at your target. With any sights. Not to mention trackIR/AI move the entire head, not just the eyes, which should make it even more impossible to hit anything while doing so.

Either you're aiming, or you aren't. This "look around while aiming" for AI and trackIR users is just stupid. If you want to look around you should be required to stop aiming.

Completely agree. Most noticeable when they're in those animations.

I can distinctly remember AIs turning their head to stare at me, while pumping accurate rounds at my squad in another direction.

For non-trackIR users, it can be achieved by using ALT key while sight aiming no?

I really like this feature, it lets you keep sights locked on a target while scanning the field for other threats.

It may not be as accurate but its def. possible.

Could maybe use a slight hit to accuracy while freelooking, but otherwise I wouldnt want it to change.

No. Just try it.

No. It is not possible IRL. It's almost as bad as firing with your eyes closed, and that's not even taking into consideration the fact that your cheek isn't on the stock when your head is moving around, which is actually an important factor in proper shooting.
