dm 9 Posted June 22, 2011 I was hoping to collect a lot of thanks statistics and then lord them over people. I think I totally won at that game while it was active :D

Tankbuster 1746 Posted June 22, 2011 I wouldn't be against its return for the opening post only in certain release type threads (user missions, A&M:C etc), but I really don't see it as being necessary TBH and the initial implementation looked like crap. That's even better, just in those forums. And yes, the first look at it looked really clunky. Make it look elegant and then consider how much space 10 thanks will save over 10 replies saying "thanks" and I think we'll see real benefits.
Hanzu 10 Posted June 22, 2011 I wouldn't be against its return for the opening post only in certain release type threads (user missions, A&M:C etc) If decisions are made for some threads only (or do you mean subforums only?) I would like to hear some good facts why those deserve it and some others do not. I can't understand what is so special in USER MISSIONS or A&M:C that they would deserve thanking function more than QUESTIONS & ANSWERS, TROUBLESHOOTING or OFFICIAL MISSIONS subforums which have higher percentage of questions and answers naturally related to thanking. Thumbs up and thumps down system would be good really to the best solution and if you still add some kind of system, please make it permanent I already wasted lots of time thanking people for posts that have been important for me.
