D.murphy man 0 Posted May 17, 2002 PLZ NO MORE NO MORE!!!I dont know about you guys but im sick of seeing all these air unit addons most of them are just retextured units with a couple of new weapons and some of them are jet planes that go way too fast and your over the island in seconds what i want is some more ground and sea units so many that ill start complaining that we need more air units to balnced it out a little SO PLZ NO MORE IM ON MY KNEES!!! You don't need to download the models you should be thankful that people are bothering to give up their free time to give u new high quality units. D.murphy man 0 Posted May 17, 2002 ok ok calm down calm down i just giving my opinion,I dident mean to ofend any one (is that spelt right?)and i would try and make my own addons but i have no idear how!i have no expriece in modeling or that,and most of my spare time is taken up by school and making a city for falshpoint,hmm mayby ill post a topic in about that?so sorry if a ofended any one and i hope every one forgets about this it could seruiosly effect my rep with so little rep i got i cant offerd to lose it. Miles 0 Posted May 18, 2002 Hes got a good point. So far no ground units have been released that i know of, but we have the hawk and the huey and loads more planes in development. Whenever i see the list of units in a mod the only new ones are planes. We already have an A10, ah64 and ah1 for tank busting on the western side, and thats all thats needed. These new ground attack aircraft are pointless, they are designed to fly far into enemy terrotory and blow pewer satations or bunkers, which is not needed in ofp. Also unless you havent noticed ofp doesnt handle them very well at all, the ground warfare aspect is far better handled. Most people will only download them for the novelty, and then barely ever use them again. I know your gonna say "if you dont like em dont download them". I wont. Intruder 0 Posted May 18, 2002 I guess the reason why folks are making air units (fixed wing) is because they just got Oxygen, and these models are the easiest to make (to learn with). Fixed wing aircraft have the least moving parts to animate (other than static objects), unlike a tank which has tracks, turrets, turning in and out etc. Give a few weeks (or less) and we'll start seeing some ground units.
