beerz 10 Posted March 31, 2011 Hi there Last time i played Arma 2 or Arma 2 OA (with ace mod and without) the AI shot through High grass if i activated "Full Gras" in the show status option! Or they shoot through the wood or through trees! Or through some sandbags... Are you fix this bug in the near future or is this a known problem or is this no problem? Beagle 684 Posted March 31, 2011 There is nothing to fix, it's a feature. A.I. is capable to do supressive fire. If you don't move out of it you will get caught sooner or later. beerz 10 Posted March 31, 2011 yeah thats right! but im not stupid buddy ;) but its a known problem and im not the only one who says that! a short example of a tactical game of the community i play with its night we get slowly crouched to near a village were we have to destroy a mi 24 hind we stopped near a farm in high grass between a few trees we stayed there for a few minutes that our squadleader can check the map and we checked the area! bam we got seen it was a troop with nightvision yeah but high grass and more damn thats not good i dont want to sound like a whining baby but like i said im not the only one who think it sucks :D Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The bullets from the AI are handled exactly the same as yours, they cannot go through things you cannot shoot through. Furthermore objects have been concealment since and grass can be somewhat . And the thing is, even if they fixed this bug the AI would still just see you walk to another location in the grass so in the end it doesnt matter that much. If they dont see you anymore they will estimate your location on your last known position, direction and speed, just like real people (except somewhat worse). Everything is fair. If you can see AI during the night with NVGs, he can see you too. That is already in. If they dont see you anymore they will estimate your location on your last known position, direction and speed, just like real people (except somewhat worse). OFP did not have grass and btw I agree with this german guy, the grass sucks bigtime, against AI and against People "pvp" you can end up being spotted in the grass even when you are totally covered in grass yourself, lol this is super unrealistic, so dont come here and state things like lower your settings or your not good enough or bull like that. the grass is a seriuos issue and its more eyecandy than actually realistic so I turn the grass off period. to play a fair fight the grass must be off. He was talking about when you hide behind objects/terrain, i already posted a video about what happens when you hide in grass when you are already known to the AI.
