JTD improved grenade effect

looks nice, but whats with that mini mushroom cloud on some of the grenade shots?

When I was looking online at grenade explosions, I kept seeing that strange little poof of dust, so I thought I'd replicate it and apply it on a random basis :)

Most explosions don't get one, the demo vid is unusual in that several appeared.

Heh, well I was reluctant to release it as it represents changing default effects, I wanted to avoid that to avoid the inevitable "how can I get this to work with X addon?" questions. However, I thought I would after all :D seeing as I enjoy it.

yeah, i like the improvements. I hope to see a few more features included, uh... I have one or two suggestions though. Whenever the puffs of smoke pop up, i believe dependent on the wind and its direction... the smoke should flow with it. Or at least script it to go that certain direction, another thing I noticed is that it will just sit there and disappear. I believe most of the time the smoke clouds will disappear but move upward at the same time. Anyways, just adding my suggestions!! very nice so far keep up the work!

Does this affect all grenades such as vehicle mounted automatic grenade launchers and thrown hand grenades?

Also is this compatible with WarFX? (I know you hate these questions but I gotta ask)

All grenades that use the same config effect, yes. IMO the vehicle mounted automatic grenade launcher in particular looks awesome :)

Well it's a separate addon because it's the first I've done that changes an existing effect (in ArmA 2 anyway). As such, other addons that also change the same effect will interfere with it, or the other way around. Addon loading order should get the desired effect :)

Except for the mentioned strange poof, this looks pretty WGL'ish (I mean - pretty cool).

By default all particles affect AI view, however it's a little moot when the grenade particle only lasts for 5-7 seconds :D
