oldbear 390 Posted November 21, 2010 (edited) Here is a new small map for PvP or TvT purpose. It's a CO terrain ...5 km x5 km with a town in the middle with a lot of industrial areas along a East/West railways track and a North/South road, military bases in the North and in the South and 4 villages in the terrain "corners". Build as a "test-map" after some epic battle on Shapur with ADO Clan team mates for I was a bit frustrated by the somewhat void surroundings. Afterwards the terrain has been left aside and used only as testing grounds for my own personal tools tests and in order to prepare the larger upcoming Sbrodjistan map. But after having worked ... too many hours on this terrain, the idea came to release it as it is. ...At the moment a v.01alpha is tested among my fellows team mates. At the moment, my main concern is about FPS level for the map is probably featuring too much open objects from the ArmA2 and ArmA2:OA. As soon as I found the nice balance, I will release it publicly. -martin- 10 Posted November 22, 2010 Looks good, I like the industrial complexes it kind of reminds me of northern Russia, the satellite map looks a bit dull tough, almost like snow far in the background, you should make it darker (yellowish because that's how sand looks) and add some more details on to it. Take a look at the Arrowhead islands by BIS to see how they did their satellite masks. oldbear 390 Posted November 23, 2010 Yes, of course, you are right about _Sat. The reason of the 1st version was that I had a map _sat and a "satout" near perfectly merging on terrain borders. As I have said previously, this map wasn't a project but a testing area ... for Sbrodjistan, an extented port of my previous ArmA map Yapal v0.2 alpha is already featuring a darker ground Sat texture.
