Thank ya. About the reinstalling of the BAF, since i installed back to 1.54 should i reinstall BAF as i dont see the launch exe in the BAF folder. I only got the desktop launch.

It refers to BAF-Lite, but you don't have to patch BAF to get this update, it is included in OA patch 1.55.

I just tried to install the separate BAF-1.01-patch (not knowing it's included in 1.55 until now) and got immediately onscreen error "you don't have BAF installed or your BAF is damaged" (not word by word but that's what error msg meant)

this is normal when you don't have BAF DLC, or ?

just if I'm right: when you don't have BAF DLC installed AND you're playing with v1.55 it means you're playing kind of "BAF-LITE 1.01"

So this feature works: "Doubled quality of BAF-Lite experience" with 1.55 inspite of not having the BAF DLC installed.

I have the same problem. I've got Arma2 (Hungarian) and Arma2:OA both on original DVD, I've applied the latest patches and when I try to apply BAF 1.01 I get the same message.

You are absolutely right. This feature (enhancing the quality) only works if you don't have BAF installed. BAF-Lite is overwritten by BAF once full BAF is installed and "experience" is of even greater quality then.

You will need the patch most probably.
