Mouzie 10 Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) I honestly don't know where to put this, I didn't want to bug the company with such stupid detail of mine, I am sorry if this is in the wrong section. I bought ARMA 2 around December last year, it was an great game, had fun. Because, I live in Israel, I have to pay a little extra money for the ISP to protect my computer from hijackers. Well, I couldn't pay a month of security and so- I got my account stolen. (yay..). I don't know my ARMA 2 CD key and I was wondering if I can get a new one (free of charge) or get my old one back. My steam account's email was also stolen and so I felt pretty bummed about it. Also, the Paypal in which I had, deleted all account information in 30-90 days as security. The good news is that I can still play ARMA 2, just not able to connect to multiplayer. The bad news is that once the data is lost (reformat or stolen; you know?) I will not be able to play it again. What should I do? What can I do? I'm also not sure that B.I. (Bohemia Interactive) will be so nice to give me some good help. I really love this game. :/ SS of my old account: http://i53.tinypic.com/dhba1.png 218 kb http://i55.tinypic.com/o8i9f9.png 261 kb Edited September 27, 2010 by W0lle Images > 100kb
W0lle 1051 Posted September 27, 2010 Please do not hotlink images over 100 kb. If you have purchased the game from Steam then you need to contact their support for a replacement key. However since your account has been "stolen" I fear you have to purchase the game again. In the end it's you who is responsible for your data. And in all the years no one ever has stolen anything from my computer, nor there was even an attempt to hack it. Sorry but we here can't get you a new license key, simply because we have none to give away.

I might try and do that, even though, I fear that it might not help me in my favor. Edited September 27, 2010 by W0lle
W0lle 1051 Posted September 27, 2010 Mouzie Just ignore that obvious troll (and any that may come). I know that Steam support is... questionable but those who sold the game are responsible for support.
Infam0us 10 Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) Just email Steam providing your email and account name. If you've verified the account before you'll have no problem getting it back, as they can't access your email. And Wolle, how am I trolling? Asking someone how many CD Drives they have ... Edited September 27, 2010 by Infam0us
dmarkwick 261 Posted September 27, 2010 My Steam account got hijacked but I eventually got it back after about 3 or 4 days. But I've only got The Orange Box on Steam, nothing else.
craig.turner 10 Posted September 27, 2010 How many CD Drives do you have on that second screenshot! They are probably virtual drives, ie Daemon tools. .

Infam0us 10 Posted September 28, 2010 Not you, I meant the guy above you (I deleted his post in the meantime). :) Apologies Wolle, I assumed you meant me :) I am unable to get my email, as the hijacker stole (or deleted it). Has the hijacker got access to your email aswell as your steam then? If so it maybe harder to get it back. Do you have any reciepts from payments you made to games, from your Credit Card as you say Paypal has since removed them. If you can match dates on your bank account with Steam purchases it might be enough to convince Steam it is indeed your account.
Gunter Severloh 4065 Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) Wrong CD Key Hey guys, seen this post and I have a friend that just recently bought the DVD version of Arma2:Combined Operations. Problem is he has his game patched to 1.54, but when he goes to patch 1.07 for Arma2 he gets the error or message that wrong cd key. I heard that patch 1.54 updates or patchs both Arma2 and OA, but only his OA is patched, but basically this is whats happening, any ideas what to do here? Maybe uninstall and repatch Arma2 to 1.07, then patch OA with 1.54? Shit! FPDR just seen this thread: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=107505&highlight=wrong+key but it dont answer my question as in that thread he has steam.
