UV-Map Export ?

Hey folks,

my question here, is possible whit O2 that UV-"Wires" map to export to a Texture or a empty whit/black background ? For easy edit the Texture. ;)

When yes, how does this work (how does that) ? ;)

I have found a way, it´s easy. UV > UV Editor > Export !!! FPDR :D

Now i am wondering if that is how you export the UV layout in any 3d modelling software...:rolleyes:

Usually I use a ruler, protractor, compass, and pencil and take measurements off of the screen onto paper and then scan it in.

:P i know we are getting of topic here, but i always believed that manual work is best. Thanks for sharing, i'll do the same next time

To Max and pufu's last posts... I don't know if you guys are serious or not haha. Always thought every UV editor program was able to export.

On a serious note: yes, every software can export the UV layout. No need to keep it oldschool like Max here :)

To be honest, I didn't recognize the EMF or WMF file extensions as image file types when I was researching the answer. I figured they must be some 2 dimensional point data for transferring UVs. I saw that the UV editor has very detailed zoom functions so I figured the intention in this application was to take a screen shot, reasoning that O2 has modelling functionality but is not a robust modelling suite.

All of the 3d apps I've tried so far has the capability to render the UV map to an image file (even O2 apparently)- some even to a vector graphics format for unlimited zoom potential.
