Nothing against Germans, but German commercials stink so bad you can't believe it! They are always about this women showing how happy she is, that she now can clean everything all the time and be the perfect mom for everyone. Like she's getting it on by cleaning a toilet. yuk. IceFire 0 Posted May 1, 2002 Well, I don't know about you Euros, but in the states, all commercials are stupid. Especially if it's a gatorade or truck commerical. Hell, just about any product commerical in the states is stupid. Trucks, soft drinks, Dell computers, alot of infomericals, anti-smoking. Honestly, I can't remember much. advocatexxx 0 Posted May 1, 2002 I can't stand those Hyundai commercials they air in the US. There is a stupid theme song they have which they've been using for years now. It drives me crazy. Even though their commercials are supposed to help convince people to buy their cars, I personally don't think I'll ever buy one of them. I swear to god Japanese car makers hire the cheapest advertising agencies to do their car commercials. They're all the same. Annoying and boring. Isn't the whole psychology behind commercials to make the consumer want to buy that product ? Well, the agencies doing the commercials for Japanese cars sure as hell need to go back to school. European car makers like Audi, BMW and Porsche have awesome commercials though. Anyone seen the BMW M5 one ? It's great. Same goes for Porsche. They have this commercial airing now where this old (maybe 60 year old) man is unfrozen in the modern times. He goes to his garage and takes the cover off his gorgeous 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder. He gets in and takes it out for a stroll on the road. In the meantime there's a guy on a cross-street waiting for a green light, sitting in his Boxster. As he sees the 550 Spyder pass by, he changes his blinker and follows him. He eventually catches up and they both ride beside each other. Then the drivers turn to each other and each say "Holy shmoly". I really hate Nissan. A great song by The Who "Bargain" has been their theme song for many years now. They have totally destroyed my love for it as I have had to listen to it over and over and over and over. I swear to God I will never ever buy a Nissan. I hate them for this. Now the Cadillac is using Led Zeppelin's "Rock 'N Roll" in every single of their commercials. Which one was most recent? ....Resens? Riesens? I can't remember what they are called exactly, but there chocolates.....anyway.... What were they thinking? I vowed never to even look at them again...
