Arma 2 oa still broken!!!

Recommended Posts

BBshammo, fair enough. You might want to think about airing your own point of view in a slightly more diplomatic way than calling BIS names.

I agree the AI has issues but then I hardly ever use it, most of my playing is done online these days with real people which is where Arma's real strengths are.

Zipper5, you are representing 100% of the forum members? No?

I think I was representing those of us mature enough to recognize when a guy wants/needs help getting used to the game to enjoy it, and are willing to provide said help. It's a lot better than just needlessly flaming him and "scaring" him off.

Well, the "mindless fanboy" is not a joke, I guess you mean it serious.

Even more trolling. There must be a nest somewhere.

Why you do not let the guys ranting? It does not hurt! And the game is in many aspects really still broken. We all know (ok, the fanboys call it different) but we got used to it and sometimes BIS is fixing somthing out of the sky.

IN IT'S TOTAL SUM WE LOVE THE GAME ANYWAY!

So why can't you act like adults and voice your concerns in a mature way? Ranting is not the same thing.

Why is BIS not fixing it?

Two options, really:

A - because they hate us all and won't fix it out of pure spite.

B - they are working on it, but perhaps it isn't quite as simple as you think.

Take your pick.

Because when they reading a complaint the same fanboys start screeming and ensuring that it is ok like that and they love it like that. So why should they fix it?

No one is screaming that it is ok. Check the suggestions and beta forums and you will find that the people here - including mindless fanboys such as myself - have been providing bug reports and suggesting improvements on the AI driving and path finding for ages. This, unlike ranting, is what we call constructive criticism. Maybe you should try it too.

Why fanboys can not simply reply: "Yes, we know it is far from perfect, you have any suggestion how to fix it/make BIS to fix it?"

Even if a newby/complainer comes along with a negative sound, there is no reason the reply the same way.

You'll have to excuse us mere mortals, but it's hard to determine whether a rant such as the OP is meant as a flamebait or a legitimate complaint. If it had been worded differently, the replies would have been of a different nature. That much you can be certain of.

Then you should better not think :D ;)

Try this: If someone is unfriendly to you, respond friendly. Usually they calm down.

Well, nice tip that I forget myself in 99% of such cases

Yeah, no kidding.

Tell me, where was I being unfriendly? I told him that if he's simply going to rant and bash the game, he can leave, but if he wants help, I, and probably others, will be willing to help him out as much as we can. How is that not friendly?

Lol, you think their number 1 priority isn't fixing Arma 2/OA? What is then? And please, share with us your wisdom and knowledge of BIS' inner-workings, even if you don't work for them.

If you find bugs - search and provide a repro and keep your fingers crossed: Beta Patch Testing + DH CIT

For sure if BIS had enough money, staff and time they could develop the "Ultimate simulation of the century"...

A2 + OA are released and you can't do anything more than improve it, turning the wheel of time back isn't possible.

Like with any other game you can:

A - enjoy A2+OA as much as you can

B - leave A2+OA because its not worth your spare time
