No more online multiplayer ?

So I bought Combined operations a week ago and when I installed it asked me which ways for some kind of Cd key verification. I chose the one where I didn't have to use my DVD everytime.

I played online with my buds and some campaign and, a week later, when I try to play multiplayer it says

" Online support for Arma 2 is no longer available"

My Internet connection is on and the problem happened just before I am writing this post. The same things happens with Operation Arrowhead.

Yeah im having same problem too:

Location Australia

Steam OA. All upto date. Everything was working fine yesterday. Other people in my clan are playing online atm but Im getting the above error

I thought it was server maintenance, like they are restarting the servers.

But if that's the case, they shouldn't say "Online support is no longer available".

Glad to know I'm know the only one.

I don't have Steam by the way, I bought the game at BestBuy.

i get this too as does my entire clan + the 10ish pubbers online atm. no online at all. You would think if it was temporary it would say currently unavailable or something rather than no longer... :S DOOM. hope its fixed soon :/

Was there a new patch that switched from Gamespy hosting to another one or something?

gamespy's servers are down to upgrade their hardware. downtime could last 5 hours.

Gamespy servers are being moved today. It was announced a few days ago.

You can still directly connect to any server. When you are in the multiplayer screen, hit the "Remote" button and enter the correct IP and port.

Gamespy is on maintenance...get over it. Its like back in the 90's wehen we had no online gaming at all. Enjoy single player missions.

ArmA II, OA and CO difference has killed multiplayer already...ACE does the rest.
