Using LD for Hellfires

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to control Hellfires that were fired from a Apache via LD? I am planning to get Operation Arrowhead in a month or two, but due to watching that "Death from Above" video demonstrating the Little Bird fearlessly lazing all those tanks makes me want OA NOW. But as I said before I'm not getting it yet. But does anyone know how to use the laser designator to control hellfires?

Please and thank you? :bounce3:

Yes, if you press TAB.. you will get a target named " Laser Marked "

then when it is locked on, just fire it until the name turns grey from red.

Why didn't I think of that before, it even shows it in the target area for the radio thing. I feel like a useless hobo. :butbut:

BTW, your rig is awesome... How much did it cost?

It is like this, lock with laser.. one funny thing is why Hellfire is IR locked...

less than 1.5K USD

in my country it cost 2k exact

I need to upgrade my PSU to HX850W

and RAM to 8GB Dominator

and get another set of 5870 ;D

CPU runs too slow, not enuf power to OC

If that's the case, I bet it would also work with the Mavericks on the A-10.

My Macbook Pro can run this game perfectly. It is truely a miracle for such a thing to happen.

Intel Core 2 Duo

2GB RAM

320GB HDD

at $1200 CAN

I don't think it does work with the Mavericks on the A-10. I haven't tried in a while but I don't think it did last time. I've never seen an A-10 use them before at least.

Hellfires can lock on lasers, mavericks can't, just like IRL. What's not realistic is locking laser-guided hellfires on any vehicle just by pressing tab and then firing it as a "fire and forget".

You can chalk that up to a simplification of the lase-lock-fire procedure, I think.

I wish it was slightly more complex.
