Hey everyone, I got a real quick question. So, I've started making a lot of custom factions with the ORBAT tool, and I'm looking to create custom camo for different uniforms in order to make certain factions for my unit's campaigns. To get to the question itself, I've extracted the .paa file from the .pbo, I've converted it into a .png using TexView 2 from ArmA 3 Tools, and now I'm stuck at Photoshop since there are no templates that I've found I ran into a problem. I tried using Overlay to apply my camo to the .png, I removed the boots, belt, and whatnot using selection so they don't get affected. But my problem is this, whenever I apply my fairly bright camo to the darker variant from RHS, it darkens my camo, basically ruining it, the old camo is still very much so visible below it and all the little details like the folds and stretching in the clothing, where the clothing bundles up and the stitches all of it just is either barely visible or gone. From what I saw I seem to need a template to properly do this, so I can apply my camo over theirs, but I haven't found a template. I know people have managed to retexture before and I asked RHS but they say they can't provide the .PSD files which I completely understand. So is there a way for me to retexture this and how did the other people do it, since I was quite a few retextures both big mods and small private ones.

This method is the one I use, I do not know if someone else uses it, that's why I share it, I see that many people do this task manually with a brush, in my project I have a really big satellite texture, separated into 16 tiles of 27526x27526px, so I needed an agile way to automate the process, and to match each of the tiles The solution was to use the indexed color mode of PS, summarize the satellite to 5 or 6 basic colors to which it comes closest, and I can use the Magic Wand and Paint Bucket tools to create new layers with the colors of the layers.cfg (Tolerance = 0 / without Contiguous) Satellite Image > Mode > Indexed Color (You can use some extra colors if you want to differentiate something) Indexed Overlapping colors Zoom Another improvement I got is to work with 2 different resolutions for satellite and mask, initially because of the size of the map I worked with m / px = 2 with 1024px tiles but I was not satisfied with the ingame result of the mask, so I changed am / px = 1 and doubled to 2048px (we must keep the same amount of "Tiles in Row"), but only regenerated the mask (and with it new .rvmat files) In this way I improved the resolution of the mask and kept the files of the satellite and normalmap (and I kept the size) You can download the following 2 images to compare the difference of definition and therefore of hd texture assignments Mask 1024px Mask 2048px

Hello, my pleasure, I'm a Brazilian who needs help, I remember that before my last format I found a plugin for editing images .paa by photoshop, but unfortunately I did not find it any more. I would like to know if someone has it or knows where I can find it, even if there is the text2view tool I think I can do the editing and conversion only through photoshop, easier than going through two programs.
