KP Liberation - spawn AI on oil rig and player map markers
mach2infinity posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hi. There's a two issues I'd like some help with for a KP Liberation mission I've created for the Chernarus 2020 map: 1) I want to add an oil rig as a factory. I've added the factory marker in the editor as below where I've experimented with changing its height. However, when I play the mission on the server and enter the capture zone, the bar just fills up blue with no AI spawning. I've only managed to spawn AI twice: once in mid-air where one died and the others vanished and another where a BTR-80 was in the water. Would I need a separate script that kicks in just for spawning OpFor AI on the oil rig? In the second screenshot there's respawn positions that came with the composition which I normally delete before saving. Can they be used instead? 2) I'd like to have active/dynamic playermarkers back just like in this thread. If you unPBO the mission, there's a GREUH_playermarkers.sqf file which I gather must be what I'm after. However, in the Parameters screen it's something that's only available under the GREUH player menu not KP Player Menu but GREUH doesn't work. How do I enable it for KP Player Menu? I know this can cause issues but for my mission I'm not using the Steam Workshop version and instead using the mission.sqm and all the folders/files in Missionframework from the GitHub site. I have also asked on the Discord channel (KP DEVELOPMENTS -> # kp-liberation) but unfortunately no one could help. Although someone did suggest because it's a composition rather than a single 'asset' (i.e. a house) I'm using and/or being on the water this might be what's causing the first issue? I have asked on the KP Liberation thread as well as the Discord server but unfortunately no one's being able to help so far. Thanks in advance!-

Hi, Firstly, I’m loving how the game is developing overall, and look forward to each update that improves gameplay and the environment. The following are a few of my personal thoughts, some of which are already shared by others, on possible additions I’d like to see within the world of Vigor: Dressing for the occasion; If map selection is no longer available, the ability to change clothing and equipment selection during the encounter lobby to suit the game would be preferred. Why dress in bright red tracksuit to then go to a blizzard in Dverg Forrest, or a Winter Hunters smock to visit a sunny Grontheim Valley? Add a Ghillie suit to the wardrobe too, crafted from local flora and fauna! Wildlife; an additional threat to ‘campers’ and ‘teamers’ but also a source of food and reward (animal hide or head trophy for the shelter)? Native Dogs, Arctic fox, Musk ox, reindeer, wolves, Brown bears, eagles, seals? Times of day: Norway experiences some amazing displays of the Northern Lights, so why not have an encounter to view them? Additional equipment could include flashlights and glow sticks, Signal Flares (Fired and loiter on a parachute to illuminate an area) but not Night Vision Goggles. Spotting a wolfs eyes in your torchlight could be a chilling experience!! Vehicles: there are plenty of abandoned cars and trucks, why not Hotwire one (Or find a bunch of keys in a nearby building?) to get across the map quicker. Fuel could be limited, add more to go further. Keys get instant activation, or take longer to Hotwire with wire\nails etc? Shelter interaction: I would love to take my boat out on the water to a) catch some fish and b) row to the oil rig! I would also love to play the arcade game!! Vigor Playlist: share the Vigor Score/soundtrack on Apple Music, Spotify etc so I can listen to Vigor mood music when not playing. That’s all for now. I’ll await your feedback before I add more comments/suggestions. Keep up the great work. Best regards DaddyBaz

Story [Tanoan] Since the Tanoa is rich in natural resources, an official government in the year 2028 gives a decree to research territorial waters around the archipelago. Shortly after that, a head of research group "Enclave" found an oil field near the Tanoan International Airport. Building of first offshore oil platform on Tanoa was started. A platform was named "E-77". It was built really fast in the year 2029, because of enthusiasm of Tanoan workers. Since then, Tanoan economy grew up fast. But it couldn't last forever. In 2035, Tanoa was struck with critical flooding. The story of oil rig E-77 has ended. Structure E-77 is a tension-leg platform. It's a vertically moored floating structure. Main platform has 2 sections. The top section is used mainly for living purposes of staff of the platform. There is also a warehouse and big radio tower. Main platform is connected to a secondary platform, which has 3 sections. The top one is used as helicopter LZ. You can get on a platform through it. Also, there is an pier on a main platform to get on it by ship. You can move through platforms and sections by using bridges and stairs. Usage To use it in your mission just subscribe to it and then launch it from Multiplayer (Multiplayer > Server Browser > Host Server > Host Server > Altis > Oil Rig E-77 [VANILLA]). You will download it. After it, you will be able to unpack the pbo of the mission (mission.pbo) in your profile folder. It is located in here: C:\YourUsername\YourUsername\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\YourUsername\Saved\steamMPMission\Oil%20Rig%20E-77%20[VANILLA].Altis Use PBO manager (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16369) or something else to unPBO mission file. After it, you can take mission.sqm file from there. Place it in a mission folder as your own mission in folders like "mpmissions" and "missions". They're located in your profile folder (C:\YourUsername\YourUsername\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\YourUsername). From now on, add this one to your mission. It will be good, if you will mention author's name in your scenario. Dependency No dependencies ;) Screenshots Download Steam Workshop Armaholic
