I'm having trouble starting a newly set up Arma 3 server. Erverything works fine with TADST, though as it is outdated, I wanted to use command line options to start the server. Somehow it seems that the whole command line is being ignored. The server starts (and complains about the steam_appid) but it neither has the correct name nor a mission or the mods loaded. It seems like an "empty" server. On the Server, the server as well as the game (to download mods from the workshop) itself are installed in different folders. We're running the current build. I'd like to ask you to check the following for errors. I think I made everything as described in the wiki, but you never know (file locations are relative to the Arma server installation. I tried relative and absolute paths in the command line: Command line (the link is on the desktop): "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Server\arma3server_x64.exe" "-profiles=D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Server\profiles" -name=server -maxMem=13107 -exThreads=7 "-par=D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Server\command_line.txt" Startup parameter file (.\command_line.txt): -hugepages "-cfg=D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Server\basic.cfg" "-config=D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Server\server.cfg" -port=2302 -loadMissionToMemory "-mod=D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Mods\!Workshop\@CBA_A3;curator;heli;kart;mark" Profile (.\profiles\Users\Server\server.Arma3Profile): I'm not sure where the stuff after the last }; comes from. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when I created the profile. Also I set the skill to 0.7. Basic config (.\basic.cfg): Server config (.\config.cfg): The mission is in .\mpmissions. Thanks in advance :)

Sanity Check! Commandline interface for CfgConvert does not seem to be working for me for both binarizing and unbinarizing. The appropriate files are created but no conversion is done. The lines I have tried are: "w:\steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Tools\CfgConvert\CfgConvert.exe" -bin -dst w:\test\config.bin w:\test\config.cpp "w:\steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Tools\CfgConvert\CfgConvert.exe" -bin -dst w:\test\config.cpp w:\test\config.bin "w:\steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Tools\CfgConvert\CfgConvert.exe" -txt -dst w:\test\config.bin w:\test\config.cpp "w:\steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Tools\CfgConvert\CfgConvert.exe" -txt -dst w:\test\config.cpp w:\test\config.bin Tried swapping source and destinations because even the wiki page seems confused which one comes first. (Examples and line syntax are opposites). Given a config.bin, a config.cpp file is created but contains the same binarized data. Given a config.cpp, a config.bin file is created but with human-readable data. The GUI works fine. Just not the command line interface. Is CfgConvert terminal working for anyone else?

Buldozer Problem (BuldozerEnvelope.cpp)
memphisbelle posted a topic in ARMA 3 - BI TOOLS - TROUBLESHOOTING
Hello, I´ve installed the tools again yesterday and set up everythings Properly (P was set and A3p ran through fine). But as soon as I want to run Buldozer I get this f****** Errormessage that absolutely makes no sense. As from what I understand is that the error must rest somewhere in the command line, but it doesnt matter whether I leave the startup Parameters by default (as they come right after installation) or if I remove everythings. The errormessage is always the same (except for the removed entries from the Startup Parameters Commandline. Only one thing always remains the same. It´s this part of the errormessage quoted below. This part always stays the same, anyways what I do. So what the hell is that errormessage supposed to mean and why doesnt any attempt to fix it do absolutely nothings. - changed the Buldozer path as suggested after A3P ran through - I ran A3P meanwhile a couple of times - I changed the Buldozer.cfg that I´ve recieved from someone where it works absolutely fine - I changed P - reinstalled ArmA3 tools - ran integrity check for the steam tools and for ArmA3 - I ran Buldozer with an absolutely clean Commandline It´d be great if someone knows whats causing this issue. I never ever ran into this in all those years before. May be it´s a simple solution, but I cant see it at the moment. Thanks and regards Memphis- 6 replies
