x-7-9 "keep low", I feel it not so effective

Recommended Posts

When I order my AI subordinates to "keep low", or "copy my stance", they still keep multi-stance. Sometimes they even put on a rival show to me. I want all to keep crouching\prone, but some are still standing and I want them to keep standing to move quickly, but someone are still prone...

Since 7-9 is a special stance mode comparing with stand\crouch\prone, I think this order exists so as to make AI do sth. like what I do. If they still have their own, do things in their own way, I don't know how to maintain discipline in the game.:(

I believe that it isn't meant to keep them in the same stance as you but that it is meant to put them back into the automatic mode. When you make missions there are four options, up, middle, down, and auto. I think Keep low is meant to be auto and not follow the leader although they do do it sometimes but not always effectively.

Especially in combat, I want them either to keep crouched or prone to avoid of being shot as targets, so I order them to keep low, but some of them are still standing and quickly get shot.

I would just tell them to go prone then or to go crouched. Normally I have them on crouched if we're moving and there is a chance of danger so that if we do get attacked they at least won't be standing and they will still keep moving decently fast.

This. When you say "keep low/copy my stance" you are effectively saying "use your own judgement," which means that they will do whatever they damn well want.

I think "keep formation" is to tell AI to return to default stance, and "keep low" should tell AI to follow your stance.

I always thought Keep Low meant they would walk around but go prone or crouch if you stopped.

I would use all/7/7 to make them stay crouched. Also if you combine with this with "Danger" stance they will go prone when you stop moving.
