This is a remake from the original ArmA1 High Mountains from Xeno. This mission is for real teamplayers because it plays on a high level of difficult. You have to fight a lot of enemy troops with low-tech weapons.

Mission content:

Welcome soldiers!

SLA has managed to get a reconnaissance satellite from another country. We know that they control that satellite with 5 radio towers around mount Gur Dur.

Our goal today is it, to destroy those radio towers. But before we can destroy a radio tower, we have to shut down the satellite terminals. Intel reports, that there is a control near each radio tower.

It is vital, that we first shut down a terminal BEFORE we blow a radio tower. Otherwise the communication will be still established.

One pilot is available. He is the only one who can fly the Mi-8.

We have a big problem though... During the landing operations at the Loy Manara Airfield we lost a cargo plane that had all our weapons on bord.

The only weapons we could recover were Mk16, M60, a few M24, pistols and Carl Gustavs.

Expect a lot of enemy troops.

great,this one and Airborne Assault (Wings of Steele remake) made my week,even more now both are in a playable condition!

Also,finally you use a forum i´m able to post in!

A shame it isnt Friday evening anymore to celebrate this tremandous release in a appropriate game session tonight ...

This is an excellent mission only issue we have its really really hard :)

We added in some guns(Nlaw,Javelin) and changed the vehicle respawn as it was set for a long time. Added in some other Humvees to as we seen Garamud and realised we were seriously outnumbered and lacking in the firepower department.

We finished High Mountains last night, it completes when the radio towers are done :(

We getting ready to assault Garamud and get the chopper :(

thanks for feedback!

tip: load weapons in the cargo of a truck and drive it behind your frontline to supply up your team. so it will works simplier for you. ;-)

Good mission. Finally got a chance to play it.

The difficulty was just fine. I think I died only once (there were 11 of us).

One thing puzzled me a bit. The objective with the town... The mission ended before we even reached it. We cleared everything else so I'm not sure was it alternative way to end it without going for the last push?

Enjoyed it very much nevertheless :)

you must not reach every on the map marked point. you have your primary objectives, if you complete these task you will win the game. ;)

in close future i will release a new map. this will be similar from the content and the style to this map. i hope it will be a bit more harder for you guys. hehe

Just making all the objectives part of the mission end would suffice.

We enjoyed playing it but didnt have 11 :D

Hello,

I've made again a new version of this old fine mission!

After the last one is from 2010 and many things have changed i want to create a fresh one with a technical update and some other small changes. Version 2013 is ready!

The most disturbed things for me was the old norrin revive (every time to have for a anoying bug) and the inappropriate difficulty since the AI is much stronger than in 2010.

Version Number: 2013

used Modifications: ACE2, CBA, ACRE (all optional)

Players Number (min/max): 1 till 20 players (recomment minimum 5 players)

Respawn: with limited respawn (15 times) and Bon-AIS wounding system

Gameplay Type: Infantry Fight - tactical or public gameplay possible

- add script base

- remove norrin revive

- add AIS injury system

- make the mission ACE compatible

- much more randomized and moving enemys as before

- reduce number of enemys since the AI is smarter

- enemys groupzise depending on actual number of players

- nearly all armored vehicles add a 50% chance of presence

- rewrite some text's

- change the player groups

- add backpacks

- possibility to play at different day times

- add a artillery operator

- add anti person mines along the road

- reduce network traffic

- add new weapons

- add gameplay tips

- add enemy mortar setting

- add ACE weapons/equipment (need ace enabled via lobby)
