    Leights OPFOR Pack

    Hi, hope that the future versions will make use of the new RHS weaponry. Great pack once again. Edit: Leight, any chance that there could be a simple woodland camo uniform in the next iteration of the pack? My friend was looking to make a mission where we would play as the Syrian Army fighting your islamic terrorists but we realised that the only woodland camos we had in our mod collection were with the Crye precision style kneepads, which would' ve looked ridiculous for a Syrian army grunt.:D Just a simple woodland uniform without crye kneepads and accepting patches so we could put the Syrian army patch from Under Siege' s patch pack would do the trick. And you' re probably already aware of that, but using the african rebels islamic terrorists factions on our server, we get a lot of "some of soldier' s magazines weren' t stored in vest or uniform" or something along those lines messages in the server rpt. That is using the HLC weapons compatibility pbo and with units spawned by Alive.
  2. Thank you very much for the update and the CBA support Drill. Since my previous post i' ve tried UAC and it is really simple to use so i' ve added it to my modset and explained to the new guys in our group how to use it. We haven' t ran into any problems and it actually made configuring mod keybinds for them much more intuitive, UAC deserves to be a more well known mod. Still, i believe that the CBA version will allow the finger pointing mod to become more widespread as i believe that some people might have been put off by the UAC requirement. To come back to the finger mod, what do you think about making it so we have to be less than 5 meters away from the guy pointing his finger to see it rather than 3? In the Arma context is is sometimes hard to precisely evaluate how far away we are from the guys in our team, and through playing with this mod we found out that quite often one of my guys would tell me "come near me i' ll point my finger at it", i would move very close to my teammate to what i thought was about 2 meters, tell him " i' m behind you point it to me" only to find out that apparently i wasn' t close enough and had to move in even closer. In my opinion setting this to 5 meters would be more practical while still remaining believable in the context of Arma. All in all we love the mod, we set our color to grey and color opaque to 10 percent so the effect is subtle and doesn' t break the visual immersion too much and we love it!

  6. Yay! Finaly a true Mali map. Looking good, can' t wait to see more progress of it. I agree, as long as it' s not overdone. FSF Dariyah is one of my favourite maps, but the ground looking orange from a distance has long been a source of laughter for my friends and i.:D
  7. Hello Drill, this is great! We were talking about how it would' ve been usefull to be able to point your finger at a direction with my unit the other day since we are trying to play without the compass and here comes this. If you could make a version using the CBA keybindings it would be great, i haven' t tried UAC yet and it looks good but we have many new guys and it' s hard enough to explain them all the different things to configure and adding one more layer will only make the matter worse, but i' ll give UAC a go and if it' s simple enough to use i' ll force the new guys to stop whining and to start learning how to configure a few things.:)

  10. I agree with all those who said that we need some kind of indicator, visual or audio, to know wether our weapon is rested or not. (We play without crosshair of course). I wouldn' t go with a ui indicator, and ideally i would go with either a very quick generic arms anim, that shouldn' t ever, in any way impede the players movement, or a small sound, but with a sound it might be hard to find the right balance between a sound that is loud and clear enough to be clearly heard in a firefight, and subtle enough not very quicky become an anoyance, considering the number of times that it will probably be heard per game. Maybe both? But generally, from the little i' ve tested, i love the changes. Great job BIS.
  11. Toadie, DAT list :butbut: Plus Famas, PGM Hecate II, and the Minimis, HK416/7s, SCARs, G36s, even a P90! With all this stuff, we will practically have all the small arms in the French Armed Forces inventory, both French made and foreign, conventionnal troops or SF! I feel bad about adding requests to such an already huge list, but since you' re already making a 416 D10RS, would you mind doing the 14.5 inch barreled variant too? And also i'm glad to finally see someone take on the 416A5, despite your apparent hate for these babies.:p I hope that the assault rifles will come with their appropriate grenade launchers, the hk416/7s, g36s, SCARs,...etc. Anyway i will stop the begging, i can honestly say that seeing this list filled me up with joy,and i will make it a point so support you as best as my financial situation allows on Patreon in the coming months (can' t right now since we just opened our server and other stuff, but you have my word that i will start making donations in the coming months man). Best of luck in this (huge) endeavour.:)

Currently no one from the group i' m in is good enough to pull out a retexture of anything, but we are slowly learning about addon making so in case one of us gets good enough to pull out a retexture of one of your addons we' ll of course keep it in house and i' ll send you a PM to let you know for politeness.

    Hello deltagamer, neat pack, tried it the other day. But is there any chance that you might release some of the vehicles as stand alones in the future? As i' ve said i really like the pack but our collection is already absolutely huge and adding close to 1gig of mods more won' t be easy to swallow for some of the guys i play with, especially since a lot of the content would go unused for us. I' m thinking about SF Land Rovers for example, i absolutely love them and they look more "generic" for international use than Jackals, or the Puma, as frenchmens we would love a Puma even if it' s not the right skin for french use. Sorry if it' s been asked before.

Hey, i apparently forgot to mention this to you guys, but a while back LODU from the french Army mod OFRP released his Arma2 infantery model source files, since you guys are baking stuff that' s used by european SF there might be interesting things for you in it such as MSA APH helmet or OB70 NVG, here' s the link: Hope it will be of some use.

Hi, i haven' t had the time to explore the new version in the editor yet, but what i' ve seen of it yesterday is lovely, i noticed tons of changes compared to the previous version, great work as usual IceBreakr. I noticed that the back up ironsight on the AUG is constantly zoomed, which kinda defeats it' s purpose as a primarily CQB oriented sight, any chance it' s zoom level can be brought in line with the Arma3 ones in a future update?

  19. Hi guys, Tsark, i acted as coordinator of BHL team for this event. First off, i' d like to apologize for the All in Arma bisigns trouble, that is my fault i should have checked this a while ago, i dumbly installed the patches over the previous files without taking a look at the bisigns, and since we use Arma3 sync between us, we all had the same files among the BHLs. The CUP problem was very weird though, why would SIX decide to update in january 2015 the key of an addon that got released in november 2014 and hasn' t been released since? All in all, when i looked at the list of the required mods i saw that we had all the needed addons so that addons shouldn' t be a problem, didn' t thought about the AiA bisigns, sorry. Regarding the actual game, what we' ve done was lousy, and it' s because of a few reasons: The first one is coms; before the mission began i couldn' t clearly understand wether we were supposed to not have intra squad coms on the radio and only use the SR between squad leaders, or to use SR for intra squad comms and LR between squad leaders and CO, or SR for intra squad, SR additional for between SLs and LR for CO or something else...etc. Add to that the fact that at some point people were asking who was using which channels to which i replied that BHL generally uses 111 as it' s SR channel, and that i then saw people generally answering 111 as to which channel should be used while i only said that it was the channel that we use between ourselves, resulted in a very disorienting situation for me which made coms really hard. Then i heard that alpha was moving out so i had to rush my guys in the vehicles and thus we settled for BHL with 111 as our SR frequency and i used 79.8 to communicate with the CO, thus i couldn' t hear the other groups most of the time and i had a problem with my games volume compared to the one of teamspeak, which made hearing the CO very difficult. In addition to that, the driver' s of both of my Fenneks were newbies when it came to using vehicles, so i often had to micro manage them. Due to this combination of reasons, our participation to yesterday' s event could only be described as lousy to remain polite, which ultimately resulted in a TK on the castle, for which we of course apologize once again. So as i' ve said on teamspeak for now we will temporarily crawl back to out hole, play, train, play, train in order to work on all the things that need to be worked on, and in maybe a month or two we will recontact you guys for a new joint op, that will go better this time i hope if that' s okay with you guys. This was our very first joint OP, an international one at that, so i have no doubt that we will improve a lot, there is tons of room for that anyway.:rolleyes: The different mission i' ve played individually with you guys after the first one were imensely fun though. PS: In the meantime i' d be happy to tag along as an individual player on your gaming nights from time to time if you accept me.:)

    Good to hear! I didn' t knew about the fact that night vision couldn' t be disabled for 3d scopes, BIS seriously? While you' re on the ACOGs, could you also take a look at the RMR' s zoom/fov level? Thanks in advance. I have no first hand experience on the matter, but i believe that what you are reffering to are simply brightness settings tuned to not blind the user when using a weapon mounted night vision attachment such as a pvs14. The problem of aiming through a rifle scope with NVGs on your face remains.
